Was glad that you showed the sheer pantyhose and said that they were making a comeback. I never stopped wearing them when dressing for an occasion. IMO there are not many women, especially older, that have legs smooth and markless enough to go without the blurring effect of sheer pantyhose. A dressy dress looks far more polished and finished with pantyhose. Not talking about casual or sundresses. Again, just my opinion.

I agree about looking more polished. I have used some different kinds of leg make-up to make my legs look more attractive, but it does not always look natural and it can rub off on clothing, so, even though it's not necessarily fun to put the panty hose on, once in place, they just look way better than my bare legs.

I think wearing whatever style jeans that look best on you is the best option! Basically everything is good … some things just trend in and out of style! By your 50-60’s you’ve seen and worn all the styles! You know what you like best and looks best! Stick with what works! Style & Fashion are two different animals! I think Skinny Jeans look horrible on most people! But there are lots of other options! Myself I like wide legs either straight or flared (not big bell-bottoms) with a high waist! I wear Maxi Dresses nearly everyday!

Why is it that the 20-40 year olds can wear things that they have no business wearing……yet some put expectations on the 50-60 year olds? As a 65+, I’ll wear whatever I like…..knowing I have the self awareness to know if I shouldn’t be wearing certain things. Ladies we’ve earned our choices as a mature generation!!!!!

I’m 63 and I totally agree. Wore designer jeans ( Calvin Klein) so tight in my 20s I could barely breathe. Lol. I dress for comfort now and still look good.

I so agree. Plus my mature body figure is thin and lean. At 77 I pick what works best for me. As she stated the bra she showed doesn’t even have my size. Sometimes I what I pick is in fashion sometimes it’s not. I do pick up a couple things For a fresh look. But they have to suit my style of looking fit, chic, vibrant, and radiant. Generally I don’t wear loose clothes, but I don’t wear leggings neither. I love boot leg jeans. I never wear shorts because the stores are too darn cold. Short skirts are not flattering on me so maybe a midi length. The whole pantyhose thing shows us to stick with what we’d like to wear rather than if it’s made a come back or not in style. This is such a fun topic and I enjoyed the video. I love that each of us can make a choices that work for us. The maker of the video has made great choices for her. She looks great! The only thing I didn’t cotton to was referring to us in our 70’s as “beyond.” I truly dislike that term. Make a scene to that to us all the time as if the years from 70 to 90 don’t matter at all. Mentioned the other decades.

I really dislike dirty looking white sneakers but love wearing white ones. A "magic eraser" works wonders to keeping them white and free of scuff marks and dirt.

@@susanjacobsen4567 The eraser doesn't work well on the mesh ones like mine, other than the soles of course but last time I used Spray'n Wash, but also carpet cleaner, the foam kind with the brush. It really worked well. 😅

I love this video and you are so honest and deliver your info in such a nice way! I think you can still wear slim style (not skin tight) jeans if paired with the right tops and accessories. The new baggy style jeans make older women look older and not fashionable. I'm almost 76 and love a classic style and makeup and wear both everyday.

Cross body bags are my must have, however I would never carry around a bag as big as the one you showed. I can't imagine what I would carry with all that space. I've really tried to minimize my clothes, bags, shoes everything. Less is more as we get older!

Thank you for the tips. I agree with all of these except the panty hose. I live in TX where it is unbearably hot in the summer. Even for a wedding i would not wear panty hose. I would choose a midi length dress and then draw the eye upward ( jewelry ). I prefer a crossbody bag for safety reasons. Handbags are ok for a special occasion.

Underwire helps to keep my bra from sliding UP. I'm ok with underwire. They're not all uncomfortable. Unless they come out with a longer-line (rib cage) bra, I'll continue with underwire.

I am glad to hear that pantyhose are coming back! I never wore the ‘suntanned’, way too orange. I would try to match my skirt or dress with the same color and wear the same color shoes as well. I am short and I found that look more flattering. If the dress was in a color that I couldn’t match my go to was taupe. Again more flattering IMHO.

Loved the video! Will check out those bras. On pantyhose - it's been so long, I didn't know they still made them! Maybe I've been in Florida too long... I appreciate that they make a more formal outfit look better, but went to a granddaughter's wedding recently and wore a nice formal pants outfit and zero hose. And got compliments. So if you don't want to wear pantyhose - DON'T! I don't have fond memories of wearing hose every day. One of the few benefits of getting older is not caring so much what people think and doing what makes us happy!!! If hose makes you happy, great. If not, equally great.

I say yes to pantyhose. My legs are in great shape as I exercise a lot, however, I have spider veins, wrinkly knees, and older age discolorations that I want to cover up. I've never had a problem wearing them years ago, so I'm glad they are back in style. As to shapewear, yes only if I'm wearing a tight dress.

I recently got rid of my old bras, reluctantly as I find it so overwhelming and time consuming navigating through all the different/new to me types and sizes of bras. And it was the best thing I did - I was lucky to find the perfect bra with way less hassle than I imagined, bought it in two colours on the spot (nude and black), and the best thing followed - a lot of my older summer clothes now looks great - because of the right underwear! I was trying on my summer clothes to see what I need to buy as I wasn't on proper holiday in years. I ended up getting one (1) white basic top, everything else was already in my wardrobe, looking as new! The only thing I had to do was to finally throw away old bras! So HUGE yes to your first tip! I love your videos, so relatable and real - thank you for that!

I like many of your tips, thanks for showing us these videos. Awhile back I cut off the legs of one pair of my jeans that I was getting rid of and didn't like the look because they were tight fitting. I cut them just above the knee. I never wear shorts but thought maybe I'd wear this pair in hot weather. No way! The only way I'd wear them is if they were loose fitting. So I did like the example you showed of cut-off skinny jeans. It just doesn't work, does it?

I am 70 plus years old. Not as mobile as I was even 5 years ago. Still make an effort to please myself and look nice. Try the new b.tempted lace strapless. It does up at the side. I do it up in front and then turn it around and it’s great. Looks beautiful and goes up to a G CUP.

Best bras for me at 63 are by Glamorize. They have all the sizes, buy them online. I’m a smaller band size but D cup. Front closure with nice lace panel in back, gives a very youthful figure, highly recommend. I notice a lot women no longer wear slips under dresses, especially more snug fitting - don’t need shape wear to smooth your look and hide panty lines. i wore a maxi dress today that’s not flowy and put a loose-fitting slip underneath. If you sweat, provides a barrier to keep your dress clean and if it’s chilly, another layer.

Then try and find a specialist bra shop. The assistants know their jobs, my UK go to is bravissimo slightly more expensive but worth it to have at least one or two bra of the correct size with lots of colours especially if your bigger busted

It definitely pays to go to a specialty fitter or even a better department store that has a bra fitter (I just did this at Dillard’s). It’s more pleasant and not frustrating. I was wearing a bra that, unbeknownst to me, was two sizes too small. Within a short time I had new bras that fit properly and I threw all my old ones in the garbage. It doesn’t have to be awful!

I hate them these days, but my boobs are too large to pass on them. They all make my boobs squish together in the cleavage and pop out of the bra. I walk around with a huge uniboob. What happened to the old cotton playtex bras that lift and separate. Plus all the fabrics are toxic these days being made from plastic petroleum products. Look for as natural fiber as possible.

Wow! So many of these comments are so mean. Wow! I thought females in their 20s to 40s were judgemental. Wow! I just saw this video and this person for the first time. She makes an extra effort to say this is her own opinion. So if you don't like her opinion move on. You don't even have to finish watching the whole video. Those Warner's bras that you showed last about 2 months. The elastic side material is so cheap it stretches out horrible after a few washes and wears. I wanted to like those, but not worth even $21.

Yes to underwire bras - always. Non underwire never offer enough support. In general I’m over shape wear. I wear cotton blend bike shorts under shorts and dresses in the summer. Totally agree with cross body hand bags up to a certain size. Much easier than having things falling off your shoulders.

Thank you for your suggestions, but the bras you mention give you a round Mellon look, not flattering and also, according to HSN the skinny pants are never going out of style same thing with the cold shoulder. They refer to them as timeless. I love the way you are wearing your hair

Great tips, though I hate wearing tights even though I’m in a colder country. Shorts I only wear abroad on holiday if it’s really warm and jean shorts especially should be left to teenagers. Middle aged ladies with beige shorts halfway up their backside paired with a shapeless t shirt /ugly sandals is the standard holiday look in Europe. Which is a pity as there’s far more flattering outfits.

I watched your video out of curiosity as I have helped many women to fix their fashion errors on a budget. I think your advise is spot on all the points except one. I admire you for being able to formulate your advise so well and hope that you will keep helping other women. But I hope that you will not be offended if I post what I consider from my end to be not flattering for any woman at any age group. And that is an oversized STIFF purse with cross body strap. A specially a strap, that is not long enough to reach the hip point. The issue is not so noticeable on slimmer women, as the bag rests lower but the large purse overwhelms the body/bag ratio. While on women of larger size the bag doesn't look overwhelming but still looks like a Loundry basket being hauled around. Albeit a pretty one. These stiff bags were meant to be HANDBAGS for a reason. If you want a cross body bag, choose a saddle style bag that is made of somewhat softer/stiff material, that will copy the contour of your body. This will have multiple advantages. It will make you look slimmer. It will add less strain to your back and will be less strenuous to haul around for all day wear. Also If you will stuff it full of stuff, it will be easier to carry the weight, and look less full. You can get a good quality bag like a Coach bag, for very reasonable price. Or similar style. You dont have to go brand name to have nice looking stylish look. Also.... "girls" just because you are the "older" generation doesn't mean you have to have granny bras. There are places that sell real nice undergarments suitable for EVERY generation. I have taken my mom (nearly 70 but looks more like 55) to Victoria Secret and gotten her the whole works there. Got her measured and then ordered her from the system a whole set, from the styles she liked in store. Also we got undies, PJ, Shorts with pockets, and leggings. She just loves her new swimsuit too. So... Dont feel old in a bra for old grannys. You are not your grandmothers generation. The world is not the same. Today women in their 60 -70 are considered fairly young...

Us big-boobed ladies have little choice with bras, especially if you live in SE Asia where getting anything to fit is a nightmare. I'm a 34J so getting anything that gives any lift without wire is difficult. Can you do a video for us, please with some online options?

For us large busted women have to have better support that Warners offer. I have to have the underwire for added support and the stretchy straps offer no support at all. I find a posture support, front snap bra works best.

Same situation here. I can't do without the underwire. I found some good choices on mastectomy bras and minimizer bras. Mastectomy bras don't have the underwire but they are built better. My favorite bras are Bali 3562 minimizer bra and Jodee 66197 mastectomy bra. What's your favorite ?.

Agree. Plus my rheumatologist said to wear a supportive sports bra with wide straps and a wide back to support my worsening kyphosis (dowagers hump) and scoliosis which I’ve only just been diagnosed with at 63. Damn! No more low cut tops ha ha

I agree us larger breasted ladies need better support. I find the bras that are made specifically for larger chests the underwire sits flat against your body, right between the “ladies” and underneath as well as the sides. I never have any digging in with the ones I wear.

I am a never Nike because I love America. Fat knees never look good when wearing short skirts. The most important item to have is a full length mirror. I have had one since my teens and it has been most useful when dressing along with common sense. Just because something is in style does not mean it is for you. Check out jewelry, patterns such as leopard, flowered, colors that are trending and pick something style gives you a style lift but not make you look silly.

I am almost 70 years old and I have had to wear a bra since I was 10 years old and I have never found one that fit me properly put it this way my first bra what's a C cup I have been as large as a triple D and it doesn't matter what kind of strapped it does not hold me up so where would you suggest I find something that fits
