1st time here 4 years eating clean and my goodness I have never felt. like this. I look into other people's shopping carts like a snoopy sniffer 🤣 I don't say a word 🤐but let me tell you I am so grateful to have changed my life and eating lifestyle. Thank you for this concise presentation of nutrients to avoid as we age. Most of the items on this list I do not have difficulty with such as fried and processed foods. I've had to refrain from eating grapefruit due to negative medication interactions. Alcohol consumption has been reduced to no more than 14 units per week, with 3-4 days alcohol free. Coffee is a tough one though. Being in my early 60s, coffee is the go to drink every morning. I've reduced my intake to 2 cups (640 ml) before noon. Along with my weekly exercise routine 4x/wk, this video is a wonderful gem and guide-line on how to become and stay healthy. Many thanks!!

I've found that swaps are super helpful for people and incrementally shifting the behavior change in micro-steps. Have you tried mushroom coffee by chance? It's a positive trend if you can get on board with the new smell/taste! Totally understand the coffee lover life though 😍

Great information. I guess this is especially for the American people. In Europe, we focus more on: 1. Eat biological 2 eat 200% more vegetables 3 eat 100% less carbohydrates 4 drink 2 liters of water 5 skip desserts

I'm 62 and the most obvious (and saddest) change I've noticed is my body's inability to process alcohol the way it used to. Just one glass of wine can cause my head to get stuffy, sleep to be interrupted frequently (often by vivid dreams), inflammation to kick in, and acid reflux to flare up.

I'm sorry to hear that alcohol doesn't agree with you as well as it used to! Many of us develop alcohol intolerance with age, but you can always drink a non-alcoholic cider or beer 😁 Thank you for sharing your experience with us 💕

Physical exercise and stamina of course vary the most among older adults (some are climbing mountains and teaching yoga while others have difficulty climbing stairs) so it's about finding what suits your unique body and lifestyle. Thank you for the information, actually, I don't consume any of the foods you mentioned. I dropped foods such as Italian Salami (which I still love), don't drink, except a glass of red wine once in a while, dropped fried foods and don't care for grapefruit, or packaged foods or canned soups (make my own). Try to eat balanced...love fruits, veggies, and poultry. I'm going to turn the "big 80" soon...thus, have a few years ago, dropped the foods mentioned! My one weakness...I have a cup of ice cream every night after dinner! Have to have one vice! One other plus...I have never smoked.

Hi Eli! Of course everything in moderation. If you're trying to swap out and step out of a sugar sweetened soda habit, it's a healthier alternative for those intense initial cravings. No sugar is gonna be a great next goal since stevia may still cause things like blood-sugar issues if consumed in excess. Great job being cognizant about what you put in your body and striving to be your best - keep it up! 💪🙏

I was soooo copacetic with everything except when she said bacon; I literally laid my head back and sighed but realized I don't eat it more than 2-3 pieces every 4-7 months and the stuff I get has no nitrates, no sugar, no salt, no antibiotics. So there's that.

The risk of cancer increases because what is eaten and drank with the processed meat. Chips, rolls, soda, beer, and all of the other stuff causes the problems, not really the hot dog, but one shouldn't eat hotdogs anyway.

Avoid these : fried foods processed meats coffee diet soda alcohol pre-packaged food grapefruit As I'm sitting here drinking a huge freshly juiced grapefruit, grape. pomagranite drink LOL! I'm not on any medications though. Thank you.
