FINALLY! Someone who isn’t yapping about Aventus/ADG/BDC. Just came across your stuff and love it- keep it coming! I kept thinking the fougere/aromatic sphere is underrepresented but classics are always so good I keep coming back to them. I had a friend smell Jacques Bogart OMS Gold edition (floral woody fougere) and described it as their parents bedroom! Loved that description and was spot on!

Lacoste Original always flew under the radar, but now that it’s slowly disappearing, I’m realizing how much it was sought after. It’s a very solid fragrance and I was lucky enough to grab a bottle a few months back. Even then I noticed prices creeping up and in a few more years it’ll probably fetch a pretty penny.

Shiseido Tactics (1978) is one that doesn't get talked about a lot. Very nice aromatic fougere with typical Japanese politeness. It's still in production. Check it out if you get a chance.

Lacoste original is underrated but there were reformulations which lacked the sandalwood base. Luckily I snagged a couple of vintage bottles a few years ago.

Looking for a good old school Cedar fragrance ... there used to be one my German grandfather wore (now discontinued) that I really miss: SIR Canada Cedar by 4711 Eau de Cologne - but performed much much much better.

@@Somnus88 I haven’t tried that one, what’s it called? Their version of Pinaud Clubman (Clubguy) is better than the original. As is their Old Spice (Cold Spices) and Barbasol (CaD). My favourite by far is Diver Down, a version of Seaforth Spiced, a discontinued competitor to Old Spice. Has a bay rum vibe.

Did you just pick that up on Mercari? I collect Lacoste Original and that's the first 200ml splash I've seen on a marketplace in a minute. Just saw one sold on Mercari recently. If you ever want to sell/trade it let me know. I'd give you 2x100ml bottles and a 50ml of Lacoste original for that one.

It's true... Grey Flannel is terrible these days. Back in the Eighties, it was phenomenal, though. I always liked the Bowling Green, too... But the modern formulation is just weak.

Yes I had it, super strong scent I liked it, really appreciated the powerhouse of a scent that it is but I sold all my bottle’s because I never found myself wearing it
