I feel Arlecchino made no secret that she doesn’t care for the harbingers. I’m sure she’d have no issue backstabbing them and they notice that. Hence their distrust. Scaramouche probably just assumes it applies to everyone because he’s cynical. (as he states in his voice line about Nahida of all people)

This was always my thought when people were taking about how Arle is going to turn on us. Like I wouldn’t be surprised if she DID, but also they’re using the comments of people who are frankly awful people surrounded by other such likeminded people, so Arle not caring for the other Harbingers herself never came across to me as “proof” that she is some secret betraying villain. It just might be as simple that being a Harbinger is priority #2 for her and that comes across as shady to the others

Like, I love my emotionally stunted blue boy and war criminal , but they're just as trust worthy as they claim Arlecchino to be (which according to them is not a lot.) Would I be surprised if she betrayed us, no ofc not. But I also won't be screaming that Hoyo retconned her if she isn't as bad as they made her out to be. They literally plan all this at least a year in advance.

Tbh this is true of anyone when observed from outside. I have often said that it doesn't really matter what one does without understanding why they do it. Even if you know what one plans to do if you never know why they do it then you lose any capacity to stop them from accomplishing their goals, this specifically is why batman can never truly beat the joker longterm because stopping the what doesn't persay prevent the why. I have been capable since childhood of telling people in depth my plans and then watching them be shocked as I do exactly as I have said because they didn't expect me to accomplish it with such conviction or efficiency and this is because they didn't ever understand why I was doing any of it. This too applies to Arleccino and Tartaglia and Wanderer, the why defines an action as good or evil not so much the what.

I honestly love how we get so many different accounts of Arlecchino. She is feared by her enemies. She is considered untrustworthy by her fellow Harbingers. She is respected by the children. All of that makes her on-screen appearances so tense to watch because we don’t know what side of hers she’ll show us next. I obviously can’t wait to learn more about her, but I also can’t deny that that uncertainty is part of her charm.

I've argued the reason why Childe says she has no sane bone in her body. Because Childe is very loyal to the Tsaritsa and would obviously exaggerate his impression of someone that would betray his beloved Archon at a heartbeat. Scaramouche was around much longer with the old Knave. And the new one obviously acts friendly enough while secretly hating the other Harbringers. Like she became one because she had to in order to protect the orphanage. Especially from people who experiment on children like Dottore. As seen in the Harbringer teaser with Signora's funeral, Arlecchino wasen't exactly polite to the other harbringers. She flat out called them out for being cowards. I wouldn't call that "putting up a front" like Scaramouche claims. If anything, she would be acting the nicest with other harbringers if that's the case. It's much more likely that she has a soft spot, but because of her harsh childhood(and other secrets) she ended up this way. Yet she still clearly cares for the orphans enough to replace the previous Knave and make changes that benefit only the orphans. Which makes sense as she was one of them. And she is simply a harbringer for the benefits and protection it brings. Especially from the other Harbringers.

The Harbingers are not bound by a contract, but rather they are bound by Loyalty. As for their own personal Agenda, it is obvious that even the Tsaritsa does not interfere as long as such agendum does not affect the will of the Tsaritsa.

The Arlecchino hype is incredible, very very long time since I last saw the community await a character as hard as with her. And I can't blame them tbh lol. Her design and attire, and the godlike color combination or white, grey, black and red is perfection. I can't wait either to know more about her, I must.

I am very much enjoying Arlecchino's charactor. She is very morally gray. Clearly not kind by any means, but also not evil. I am glad she will be playable soon because you get to know a lot about the playable characters though their voice lines. Speaking of playable, I am not sure what kind of team the House of the Hearth will be. The elements, with two pyro, animo, and cryo would suggest a melt team. Issue is, they do not apply their elements in a way that is good for melt reaction. Maybe reverse melt with Freminet as the driver? Guess we will just have to wait and see.

To be clear when they reference Arlecchino as a 'Child' before becoming the director, they mean it as a codename, for everyone who is in the House of the Hearth below the director or 'Father' are referred to as 'Children' no matter they're age.

They could mean it like a codename, but regardless, that still means that Arlecchino was still under the house of the hearth the same time that Freminet was also a child (agewise or codename wise) because he witnessed the transition of power

It would've been more interesting if the original Arlecchino was still around but hoyo made that change because we cant have truly evil playable character apparently. Now we have that nerfed Arlecchino becoming playable. I am not saying she is totally uwufied buuuut she is more morally gray than evil and thats bit disappointing. Cant wait when hoyo changes Dottore too to be more of a nice guy :(

Love your videos. There’s just something I've been wondering about, and it might sound like a stretch but is Teyvat actually the moon or INSIDE of the moon? I saw a theory on Reddit and it kind of makes sense, geographic-wise at least, since Teyvat resembles Lunar Maria rotated to a 90 degree angle. There’s obviously a lot of loopholes in this theory, but I think it’s worth considering.

That isn’t Arlecchino’s order. If you took your time to read you will know that the teacher is loyal to the old house of the hearth director, NOT Arlecchino. She didn’t order him to do this. Also you will know that Arlecchino hates the way the older director do things to children (exp: she’s mad when Freminet told her that the old director lied about his mom abandoning him)

5:17 Why do you say Rukkhadevata like that? You're meant to pronounce every vocal, the "a"s aren't the same as the english a; they're pronounced like in words like "absolute" and "ascender". Same with the "e", it's not the english "e", you're meant to pronounce it similar as the Es in "descender" and "ascender". Minute 1:58 of the video the people of khaenri'ah summoned aether and lumine. What if the 1st and 2nd "killed" the 3rd (lumine) body but failed to destroy her soul? ( This is a pretty common trope in Chinese fantasy media) so the people of khaenri'ah made a new puppet body for her which striped her of her status as a descender then splash some irminsul memory manipulation here and there and puff! Now lumine can both be a descender and a being that is original to teyvat while retaining her original powers in the puppet body but at the same time she is bound to a body that originates from teyvat which forces her to abide by the rules of the heavenly principles preventing her from reaching her previous powers as a descender.
