My #1 style I like to play is swing and then swing and more swing. To listen I like the latin rhythms very much.

What a fantastic subject for all students at all levels !!! Some of these rhythms may never be used around the campfire, but to have them in reserve for those rare times when Bireli Lagrene pops into the session is essential ! Thanks for a this Robin, another unforgettable lesson from the Gypsy Music Guitar Guru.

Great sound! It's interesting, it looks like you're strumming/slicing through the strings with the "trailing edge" of the pick, i.e. the edge closer to the end of your thumb is facing up. This is quite different from everyone else I've seen, who either have a flatter strike against the string, or even use the leading edge of the pick a bit. Regardless, sounds super. Too late for the workshop, but maybe one day you'll do something like it again. Cheers and thank you for all of your positive, instructive videos. Best wishes! jz

Just curious - what's the differnce between "Modern Swing" and Freddie Green style playijng?
@GypsyJazzSecrets2 жыл бұрын
Yes good question as very similar. With the Modern Swing I’m going for long beats and a little upstroke which is kind of muted
