So I changed my strategy in March and now I have earned over 21K in dividends, equivalent to working a second job at $21.46 per hour. I’m getting 15 divided Pay checks, however I’m up 135% this year. About 450k this yr. good dividend paying portfolio. Although I use an F.A so buy as much as you can and wait for the rebound only the brave gets rewarded in these times!

I like the monthly dividend stocks in the previous video better 👉 kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKOXcmhnrdSCkJI but what do you think? Which do you like better, the lower yield stocks that maybe have better total returns or these higher yields that are riskier and may lose something on the stock price?

I like having a decent collection of monthly dividends of 4.5% or higher, and a few good quarterlies to offer the occasional boost. If you're broke, those dividends can be reinvested manually, targeting the stocks with the greatest percentage of current loss to maximize growth.

Last few days almost up 5 bucks, monthly div, 4.1 percent, 2.82 total annual. The issue is the stock price itself is rather high for a monthly div stock at almost 70 bucks a share. Extremely stable, good div(not the greatest, but against the price share, works out well)

There’s a mentality thing that says the rich and the smart choice would to take 10,000,000$ over 35 years slowly with regular payments rather than get a large lump sum , with the mentality off the rich you would just use the lump sum as an investment so if you have a steady consistent cash flow on the table as an investment that’s the better choice .

@@nightmark2120 it is the same company, but the dividend is dependent on earnings from the quarter. Not unusual in shipping due to shipping contracts being cyclical. I guess it is hard to maintain a fixed income. I think the yield in the video was probably two quarters ago, I don’t begrudge the info as presented, depending on the source it is an honest thing to miss. The 3% yield you mention is based on the most recent payout, after shipping rates had flattened. Last summer I had a payout that was over 40% I think!!! I don’t mind the fluctuations, I just add more in the $5 range.

I wish you would provide some "risk' analysis of each of your picks. High payouts aren't sustainable and are high risk of losing much capital. DHT = -14% 10-yr DGR; ORC = -16% 5-Yr DGR; NNA = -17% 5-yr DGR; MAGS = 1 dividend payout since 2004 per Yahoo dividend history; These are too risky for me. Thx Joesph

Higher paying dividend stocks are more important to me personally, i can structure my finances around a higher payment. However those high dividends still need to fall within the structure of my investments. I don't need stocks of companies that are weak that i have to constantly worry about the solvency/insolvency of the company itself so these companies need to have strong balance sheets and be able to be held for the long term. In addition i would prefer companies with growing dividends over time so my income isn't stagnant.

Look people, we are seeing a lot of companies cutting their dividends, AT&T is cutting their dividend, typically a company would be at risk to do this if their dividend payout ratio is over 60% (unless it is set up as a pass through company like some of the Master Limited Partner) However why is ORC listing a 2600% payout ratio?

@@rebirth7757 I've seen this strategy in other MLP's that don't make enough free cash flow to cover dividends. What they have done (GLP) is issue more shares or sell shares, dilute your holdings and sell the shares into the market decreasing the market value of all shares in order to pay that dividend. Be careful!

WTH? Looking today 5/1/21 I find EURN at .03 , NNA at .05 , and MAGS paid 1.079 in 12/20 but its the only div, shown in its history. Before blindly buying on Joe's recommendation? I strongly suggest doing some personal research.

Great video! I am liking the monthly dividends more all the time. If I need to sell some to free up funds for something else it is easy to get right back in. Also some stocks take a long time to recover from that price dip after quarterly dividend payments. The smaller chunks from monthly dividends mitigate that dip in a lot of cases.

my goal in 10 years ... half a million $$$ in dividend funds (epically in OPP & QYLD)... half a million $$$ in VTI, VOO & VNQ ... will retire in my late 30s ... get a nice beach front villa in Bali .. and live happily forever ....

Revisiting this video 10 months later - OPP (1:53) is at an excellent discount, so opened a long-term income position. I've had ORC for swing trades, but I don't trust it long term.

Eurn is based in Belgium. Get ready to have 30% of your dividend withheld. Something not many people are aware of. If you are using a tax deferred account, there is no way to recover this.

Interesting video... DOING MY Do DILIGENCE. I've been following for a couple of years. I like to go back to see what kind of track record you have .. Several of the stocks talked about in this video stopped paying dividends. A few are on the verge of being delisted. A good reminder that this market can turn fast. And Don't CHASE Dividends.... Have you thought about making videos of recaps of stocks that you brought to the attention of your following?
