The lighting examples are very good. However, it would have been more informative to show the light placement in conjunction with the type of lighting.

It’s interesting how Hollywood photographers and cinematographers used predominantly very hard light. If placed perfectly it is an incredible look. In this day soft lighting is the norm because it is more forgiving so it allows the inexperienced photographers to get away with a bad lighting setup.
