Love watching all of your videos. Cleaning with scrubbing bubbles works great for all greasy areas. It melts off grease on stoves, the greasy hood & vent racks above stove and walls. I discovered it in the 90's! I'm excited to know about Windex for my stainless appliances! Thank you very much ❤😊

Andrea...My favorite cleaning product is Windex...I use it on everything. I bake bread and other things for 10 families in my area. so my kitchen takes alot of abuse. When my baking day is done, I GRAB MY WINDEX AND GO TO TOWN. My counters, my white painted cabinets. my new stainless steel stove and refrigerator all get a wipe down. When I leave my kitchen at the end of a very long baking day, it is sparkling. Well, the fact that I am a clutz doesn't help either. I am so glad I found you. I anxiously await your newest video. You know on some days when I am feeling a little down and feeling sorry for myself (my husband was recently diagnosed with cancer) I turn on my computer to your channel and and I get an immediate boost. I actually laugh out loud to some of your antics. Thanks for being there.

If you get the regular O-Cedar Spin Mop, measure the side for the clean water and then go buy a waste basket or bucket from the dollar store that fits in that space and use that for your clean water/detergent. It works great!
@jessicaquiroz7178 Жыл бұрын
I hate the dual mop bucket also. I find the part where the water goes doesn’t keep the water, I constantly have to keep filling the reservoir. So, now I just use a regular mop bucket for the clean mop water and use the spin part of the dual mop bucket for wringing out the water. Works every time

I have a game changer for you about the toilet cleaning. Lysol lime and rust clinging gel. I think it is a new product. I've never seen it before. It worked on a completely destroyed crusted toilet. A issue where a pumice stone had failed. And the minerals came off in flakes with minimal scrubbing. A total game changer. The bowl went from a brown dried on crusted mess that could not be cleaned no matter how much product dwell time was allowed, to; a sparkling clean, white shinny bowl. With the same amount of effort as a daily swish.
@rlynng1999 Жыл бұрын
I'm looking for that product now! I'll say that the thumbnail pic on this video is what brought me to watch it, and it turns out you could barely see the ring that she cleaned! (my toilet looks like the thumbnail pic!)
@pilar689 Жыл бұрын
I'm glad that worked for you. That product didn't help our toilets--we have horrible hard water. I've been trying rounds of citric acid and pumice but it's not working. (Our second water softener stopped working) 😢

@@rlynng1999Same here. That thumbnail of that toilet made me click SO fast but was disappointed as my sons bathroom at his dads house looks so brown , a pumice didn't work. Thank you so much for recommending that . Windex works so well because it has a lot of alcohol in it. I always make my own. I have an old windex bottle. I fill half with water, half with alcohol and a couple drops of dish soap (I use Ajax dish soap as it cuts grease much better than Dawn). It works great on all surfaces and, of course, windows too. I hope you went over those rugs a few more times or at least until the water was see-through. 😊
@nancy6713 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip. I would have never thought ajax would do better than dawn. Does it matter which ajax dishwashing liquid?

It isn't alcohol, windex contains ammonia, which is also a good cleaning product.
@vanessalumbra9409 Жыл бұрын
@leoniebelcher1680 You can buy it either way. If it has ammonia, it will say it on the front "With Ammonia ". I buy it without ammonia. The ingredients will say alcohol. Ammonia is too harsh for me.

Your technique of lining the bowl with toilet paper really worked well to hold the Lime Away in place. I let it sit overnight 2 of the 3 times. Also, the toilet is cleaned often and isn't dirty in any other way. We are on well water though, so I think the mineral deposits maybe are just too much.

I’m going to try the peroxide on my grout. I have a floor scrubber machine and it works pretty good with just regular floor cleaning solution like Fabuloso. Yeah, cleaning the carpet cleaner reminded me of the time my daughter found me cleaning my vacuum with a vacuum. She said mom you’re just sick lol it was pretty funny.

Thank you! Great video! The hydrogen peroxide works for me but is a lot of scrubbing! Maybe I will try to do a bit at a time as an exercise! Note to everyone: my floor has a slight tilt so the peroxide ran downhill toward a rug but didn’t get to it when I was testing it out. I like Invisible glass in the auto department. Did you use the Goo Gone tile cleaner in the video, I didn’t see it only a glance at the results. How does it compare to the hydrogen peroxide? Thank you! 💕

I love the old O cedar. Just change the water out more often! Not that hard! I have no problem making more trips to the sink for a mop that doesn’t get my hands wet. Plus I don’t fill up the bucket super high so it’s not heavy to lug around and it doesn’t take long to get new water. The extra trips to the sink just adds to my step count for the day.

If you put a dirty mop in the clean bucket of water, then ring it out and drains into a different part of the bucket …aren’t both sections of water dirty? I would think you’d need 3 reservoir areas not 2. 😂 overall I do like the mop though.

@@angies5082you rinse out the dirty mop in the dirty side, I think, then put in the clean side.

Great ideas Andrea, I will go get me all of these products. I glad I bought several bottles of Peroxide when the Pandemic hit so I have about 25 bottle of this stuff. But I love it and use it on everything including rinsening my mouth out with it. after I brush my teeth. I appreciate you so much.

After cleaning the grout so well, use a group spray sealer!! So you don’t get it stained and dirty again! If you don’t you’ll have to regrout as the grout gets dissolved

Which grout spray sealer do you recommend & where do you buy it please ? I'm so scared to clean our grout since learning it can get ruined.

I also buy up filters for my Keurig pot so that I would not need to descale.

My favourite cleaner is is activated water. There are various machines out there that turn regular tap water into a powetful, zero residue, environmentally friendly cleaner that beats all the commercially available products hands down (very simular to hydrogen peroxide). It is also safe to clean fruits and veggies. It was 100% more effective than multiple other cleaners I tried to remove stains on my ceiling and walls after an ongoing roof leak. Also great on floors ect. For toilet cracks and ctevices a good steam cleaner is fast and easy, but it will stink the first time you do it ( that is not rust - it is dried urine). A steam cleaner will blast that out of there without taking it all apart. For removing minerals (calcium, lime, rust), whether it be from a toilet or a coffee maker or a washing machine, I use citric acid: It is available in powder form where canning spices are sold, or where brewing supplies are sold, even on Amazon. Two tablespoons of the powder/crystal to one litre or four cups of hot water to dissolve. Put it in a spray bottle when cooled. Or use it staight into your coffee machine to descale or into your washer fabric softner dispenser to keep clothing and macine from build-up, safe for babies clothing, diapers-removes detergent residue.. I fill up an old 4 litre vinegar bottle (about a US gallon) with this solution and use it in every wash. I sometimes add about 20 drops of lavender oil to the 4 litre solution. It is also a great al purpose cleaner in a sray bottle with a small squirt of dish detergent. That is what I use for stainless steel surfaces, really dirty glass, delicate wineglasses with dried wine in them etc. It comes out much cheaper than vinegar withoutt the smell and can be used interchangeably. I know windex is a very popular cleaner with alot of my Greek friends, but I don't use it as it is not good for the environment. For mirrors and windows I use a mirror cloth with warm tap water. No streaks no unnecessary chemicals, fast and easy. For extra difficult sticky, yucky stuff a spray bottle with one third each of rubbing alcohol, citric acid solution (or vinegar), and water does the trick. Always appreciate easier ways to clean effectively.
