Hi! Another hack you can use on your closet rods is wax paper. Just rub wax paper on the tops of all your rods. There will be no squeaking and you'll find the hangers glide like butter over the rod. 🤗 Plus you won't be adding any product to them!

The grapes...good cleaning and storing tips. Note from a wine country girl, look for the fattest, greenest stems. These are the the freshest grapes and will last the longest. If they are skinny and brown, they've been sitting too long already.

Hi Andrea as you were going through your list I only had a couple of things to add you might try. 1. When we bought our home it was like no one EVER cleaned the shower... I tried everything on the market and home recipes and still nothing. So while my husband was washing and cleaning his car I spotted rubbing compound and WOW!!! it worked amazing on my shower. I didn't know they original color was white and not beige. Than to help keep it that way I used car polish on the walls ONLY of the shower. It repels everything.. no soap scum no water spots. But NEVER use on the floor of the shower or tub because someone could seriously get hurt slipping. 2. Have you ever cleaned your hair brushes and combs? I have been doing this for about 40 years now. About every other month or so I clean out the hair, well hair gets cleaned out daily... and yes I toss them into my dishwasher. This method of cleaning is safe and gets all the crud out of the brush and combs. I have had the same brush since grade school and we'll I'm a grandmother to 5. Even my sisters are like OMG you still have that thing. I have always said if you take care of something it will last as long as you want it to. I have been teaching this to my older grands and they are amazed when they ask how old something is and I tell them. I hope you give these tips a try. Let me know what you think. Have a fun filled fabulous weekend!

Be digusted here: as a contractor, I've also done apartment mainenance and occasionally would, have to also clean when no maid service was available and it needed renting. Needless to say, some renters are just scum of the earth, and I once actually came across a shower tub that was BLACK with filth! (I wouldn't get in that wearing shoes), so I experimented with various cleaning products I had collected, spraying the tub wall in spots and placing the cans/bottles below. 15 minutes later I came back in and beheld just 2 spots where the grease was melting off. One was Lysol bathroom cleaner, the other one was a maid's suggestion; oven cleaner! Says a lot for Lysol, doesn't it? Been a fan for many years now - it's worth a little change for me to get jobs done quickly, and in one shot. Not that there's anything wrong with the diy tricks, but they all don't work well.

Best shower (& carpet & clothing & practically everything) cleaner I've ever used is a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and blue Dawn mixed in a spray bottle. If it's a lil tougher cleaning job (liked baked on crud in an oven or stubborn shower junk build up), spray with Dawn/vinegar then sprinkle a lil baking soda or Barkeepers Friend over it, let sit for 10min or so then wipe & voila! Dawn/Vinegar is my #1 cleaner that I'd never do without! It's replaced my shower cleaner, clothing stain treatment, carpet cleaner, oven cleaner (& thankfully those horrible fumes!)& so much more!

For effortless toaster cleaning LOL funny but true. Put your toaster outside on the porch or deck. Where there is ants that toaster will be spotless in a few hours. And to remove the ants, pick it up. Smack it down and in a few minutes, every ant will be gone. Marching off on their merry way. Happy to have the food and to have clean every little Nick and cranny..🤗

A neat trick to hold your recipe cards is to super glue the back of a bobby pin to the upper front of the lid of your recipe box. This will hold your card for you! And be real careful about using an extension cor with your vacuum. Make sure it's a cord rated high enough in voltage/wattage to use for appliances like that. You could cause your vac to overheat! We don't want any fires1

We also use tube socks inside out as scrubbing dusters. The cotton flocking gets into the little nooks and crannies and you can wet it / rinse it without any trouble. Works great for ceiling fans.

That white sock is an ankle sock or a crew sock. Tube socks have no heel on them. Hence they are just a tube. I wish I could find the real tube socks. The heels wear out so fast. My daughters car has a rubber boot inside the cup holder. You pull it out. Wash and dry and replace it. Idk why all auto companies don't think to do this. $$ I prefer socks with cotton content. Polyester is not as good for cleaning. Real microfiber cloths have polyester AND polymide content. A polyester cloth just doesn't clean like the polymide content one.

Me again, Margaret....lol....I sent a salad spinner to college with my son to encourage healthy eating. Living in a house with 8 other young men I wasnt too surprised when he said, "Yes Mom, I've been eating lots of salads, but your salad spinner has been redesignted as a sock spinner... We all spin our sox so they'll dry by morning.". Oh well.

I absolutely love your DIY hats! The hacks about putting your clothes inside out on a hanger is brilliant. I wonder why I’ve never thought of that myself. For your tip about throwing the washcloth into the microwave is good although, you must watch the washcloth or there’s a possibility that it will catch fire. I have always used a Pyrex measuring cup. I put water into the Pyrex measuring cup, add a few slices of lemon and microwave for a few minutes. When you finish heating the water DO NOT open the microwave. The hot water will penetrate most messes and when you wipe it down, the mess slides right off.

"hanger horns" or "shoulder bumps" can be nipped in the bud by using a better hanger from the start. Those black velvet things may look nice, but they do cause the dreaded bumps. Use those "crystal" types you can get at Target or Container store - no bumps! The hangers from many clothing stores are wider/work great too. ALSO, get one of those plastic baby bottle nipple dishwasher baskets for small items like toothbrushes. That way they don't go flying all over the dishwasher from the strong water spray. They're so handy for cleaning a great many things in the dishwasher! And as a coffee lover (and coffee ice cream lover), that ginormous coffee mug is amazing! 😍

Yes wonderful tips! But i have to say, i always find it kind of mind boggling that people dont know they need to clean their toasters. I once dated a guy who thought he was Mr Clean....until i showed him all of the things he wasnt cleaning like his toaster, dishwasher, under the fridge, window tracks and things that MOST women know. It was actually hilarious because he seemed to think he was some kind of cleaning god because his place where he had only himself was "tidier" than mine where i had my 3 kids and pets. He didnt understand me when i said his place was tidier but that mine was much "cleaner" until i showed him.

I do this too with the bowl of water and lemon juice. I microwave it about a minute and then let it sit for 10-30 minutes then wipe with a rag. Easy! But my microwave is never really dirty because we use a lid on things. No I wipe it down whenever there’s a spill or splatter. But the other day I wanted to do it at work (that one is horrendous!) and thought I’d try baking soda dissolved in a bowl of water instead of the lemon juice. Same technique and it worked even better!

I just love listening to you talk!!! The hack information is just an added bonus for me, lol!!! When using an extension cord, I think it is called a slip knot, place one at the end of the cord being attached to the next cord, then insert the end of the appliance/new cord through the middle of the knot and tie that end into a knot around the other cord and then plug the appliance into the extension cord. This will prevent the cords from being separated from each other if the cords are tugged too firm, firm enough to unplug them.

Clean your glass door in your shower.... After drying, wax it with NuFinish car wax do this about evey sux months. Do This to your car windshield and there won't be any foggy. I have been doinf this for years. Also when you clean your tile or marble on the walls of the shower, this works too.

I'll have to dig my salad spinner out and put it to use! I wrap a cloth around a yardstick to get the dust bunnies out from under my fridge and stove between deep cleanings. PS I love your fancy new video format!

Tube socks don’t have heels, but are simply tube shaped. I find them very uncomfortable to wear, so using them to clean makes perfect sense.

Häagen-Dazs Java Chip is my guilty pleasure. Thanks for the hacks! I was just sitting in my car waiting for my appointment to start when this video started. Just seconds before, I was complaining about my car’s cup holders being dirty. Thank you! I’m gonna try this tomorrow!

Dulce de Leche is my fave. I use a big koozie to hold my pint. I found some that were made to fit those red Solo cups.

I roll the top of my chips bag inward towards the chips. That keeps all the grease and powder off my hands when I’m trying to eat them. Also, after I have opened the bag of chips, but the bag isn’t empty, I put a chip clip on them and store them in the fridge so they never get stale. One other thing I rarely ever buy chip clips. I will get clothes pins (clip style) or other clippy or clamping type things at the Dollar Tree

Throw your dishwasher pod into the dishwasher instead of the designated detergent dispenser. It works so much better. I also have that same exact dishwasher and it stays clean inside now.

Replace your sliding door rollers. They will roll like new. Adding wd-40 or wax is only going to cause more problems down the road. Whoever changes the rollers will tell you what lubricant to use.
