Actually this answered a lot of my questions I was deathly worried that the concept of shields summoning worms would be overlooked I actually think it was a good call with the lasgun - shield thing though even if they just made it where you couldn't shoot a lasgun at a shield I'd have been fine with that, the only thing that bugs me now is the concept of the ground vehicles and the lack of emphasis on the still suits importance.

From the perspective of a 43 year old massive dune fan. I can see this game getting very Toxic as far as pvp and the lands rad which is going to ruin it for me. PvP has become a sweatfest for losers and meta obsessed in general across all gaming. Plus I just don't have the time to worry about game mechanics like that. The guns will ruin it for me as well. Unfortunately a Hard pass. Otherwise the world building seems beautiful. Thanks for the honest review

3:34 this just killed any anticipation I had for this game. The way everything works forms shields to combat is simply not dune. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined

There's no way that would be possible plus this kind of pushes people to use melee more since shielded characters can only be killed through melee which does put it very much in line with the books

Guns are present, but I think most people will begin to lean more toward melee because of how much easier it is to deal with shielded units.

Well to be fair it is impossible to wear shields on the sand as it will summon the worm making gunplay viable, though their just as likely to use lasguns

The gameplay looks incredibly janky. If did in previous demos, and it still does. If it turns out that this is just a gameplay "feature," I don't think this game will do well.
