Hallo, ich freu mich sehr über das neue Video. Ich kenne zwar das Aufbauvideo dieses Käfigs, fand es aber spannend zu erfahren, welche Geräte nötig sind. Dazu habe ich einige Fragen: dass eine Luftzirkulation nötig ist, kann ich verstehen. Aber dieser Lüfter scheint sehr laut zu sein. Nervt es Sie und Cotton 🥰 nicht? Und ist es nicht gefährlich für Cotton? Könnte er sich an den Ventilatoren verletzten oder durch den Luftstrom sich erkälten? Liebe Grüße aus Wuppertal, Deutschland

Der Ventilator soll die Luft frisch halten. Der Hamster ist in Sicherheit, wenn er den Lüfter nicht erreichen kann. Die meisten Computerlüfter sind sehr leise, aber diejenigen, die auf Sound ausgelegt sind, sind nicht schwer zu finden. Entschuldigung für die Google-Übersetzung. Wenn Sie ein besseres wollen, habe ich einen Freund, der bei der Klärung helfen kann.

Die Übersetzung ist sehr gut (Grammatik, Orthographie und die Diktion), nur im letztem Absatz hat sich ein kleiner Fehler eingeschlichen, der aber nicht schlimm ist. Ich benutze selber häufig Googleübersetzung, was manchmal in ein Ratespiel ausartet oder schlimmer, falsch geschrieben ist. 🌼

Need more videos. How do hamsters burrow? How many can live together?

hamsters burrow with their hands and face just pushing things out of their way and pushing loose dirt into the ceiling for stable walls. This is the same for other rodents. How many hamsters is a tricky question because of how differently people value space and what species you're raising. This cage is good enough for one DWARF hamster. Maybe a pair. As you get more you need more space. Not exactly double, but +50% total width would do well. The depth and height can stay the same but based on these dimensions you'd want 150x50x80 for 4+ hamsters and up to 200 really for any serious colony. 6x2x4 in freedom units would suffice. BUT Be aware of weight. This much soil can weigh and the more rocks and plants you add will weigh even more, not to mention spraying about a gallon of water into it a day and the weight of the cage itself. That's a lot of weight for a living room over a basement. I'm not an engineer, but you should probably be careful about the possibility the tank could fall through the floor at some point depending on the building standards in your country.

If you meant how deep do they burrow - they make complex tunnel systems and will make use of as much space as you give them. If you want tto see the tunnels, you could make an empty box in the middle and surround it with 10-15 cm of dirt around it, then cover the glass with a sheet to keep it dark and hold in heat. You should be able to see their tunnels and rooms then.

a cellar or basement would help, but otherwise you just need bigger fans to cool it down. The hamster will go underground to stay cool. In syria, the temperature can get higher than 30, so they can live in it, but you may not see them as often.
