Liars often repeat a question nearly verbatim as a stalling tactic to give themselves time to formulate an answer. For example, if you ask someone, "Did you do it?" and they answer, "Did I do it? Of course not!" there's a good chance they're covering something up.

Sometimes they answer partially, while concentrating on something that has nothing to do w the question eg the Depp v Heard case when Heard was telling the jury that she needs the metadata from the picture to be able to answer the question. Taking the time to focus on the badge issue and tracking down the photo of him wearing it around the hospital is pure genius on part of the prosecution team! A visual like that is excellent along with the time line in depth. I'm watching this from the UK and he screams of guilt this end but I just hope it translates to the jury. The victims need peace along with the many other victims yet to be discovered. The amazing high standard of open honest witnesses for the prosecution has been remarkable to watch and just shows this manipulative coward for what he is.

If you look at aerial photos of the huge Murdaugh property, the dog kennels are as far away as they can be from the Murdaugh home without being in the woods surrounding their property. One of the things that bugs me the most is that when Alex is asked if he killed Maggie and Paul he says, "no, I'd never hurt Maggie or Paul." Completely begging the question of whether or not he murdered them which was what he was asked. And what they suffered. Maybe he would never "hurt" them but I think that he murdered them. I believe that he thought about it for a very very long time just like he told Maggie's sister that the murderer must have done. I think he planned it out a lot, to the detail, so that he was able to cleanup, change clothes and dispose of or hide some things including Maggie's phone within 20 minutes before leaving for Alameda.

Murdaugh changed his entire story, when the timeline became available through the court. He altered his testimony to fit the cell phone records, & Onstar vehicle tracking. He also changed his story of getting there later, now no longer alleging : ran to Paul, checked them, tried to turn paul over, took the phone and put it down, felt for pulse, ran to Maggie, checked for pulse, ran back to car and called 911 all under 18 seconds... He now ran out, saw them, ran back to car, called 911 and THEN went back to the bodies to do all this stuff. That's not what it sounds like on the phone. The exact opposite of what he had told. He also changed his story about what he did getting to the Almeda property. And he had small details added with old Barbara (still working for him) changing her story about a phone call on June 7th and Buster changing his testimony about where they all used to park (on the grass behind the house).

I just don't rhink he actually pulled the trigger...and theres no physical evidence that indicates that hes the one who murdered them. It sucks but that's how our justice system works. Maggie had an unknown mans DNA under her finger nails, he had no blood on him, no clothes were found with blood, no murder weapons. Motive- Wife was sick of his drug use- financial issues wanted divorce- she wants to file for divorce- In divorce proceedings finances are an issue- if and when that happens all financial crimes come to light, (can't have that) He also kills son because that gives reasonable doubt-(alleged threats after boating incident) why else would he tells police all that when they first question him and times thereafter.
