Schrade Knives

Күн бұрын

In this Schrade Quick Tip Video we’re going to take a trip back in time, and show you how to identify seven of the most popular - legacy... pocket knife patterns ever designed...
Along the way we’ll show you the best use for each of these blade styles and help you select the classic pocket knife that best suits your needs and style.
Tough knives for tough men with tough jobs to do! These are the blades of legend... Barlow, Stockman, Trapper, Cigar Whittler, Muskrat, Congress and Canoe.
Passed down from generation to generation... knives that rode (and still ride) in the pockets of statesmen, soldiers and common men alike.
Let’s take a look.

Thanks for keeping these legacy knives alive! They are a fairly good deal but it would be great if quality could be stepped up a bit... even if the price goes up a few bucks. It would be worth it!

We just called them pocket knives in my youth. Now it's an "every day carry". Like carrying a pocket knife every day is, or was, something special. Mine's a Buck 112 these days. Best little knife I've ever had. And if I'm dressed up for the town, a small swiss army knife goes in my pocket.

Actually, Schrade USA had several knife models made in China, BEFORE they went bankrupt, and locked their doors. The Imperia line was made in Ireland for a few years, and then in England, after the Providence, RI plant burned down. Offshore produced Schrade knives are nothing new, and started long before 2005

Man, that brings back memories. My Husband's dad always toted small folders in these exact same kinds in the late 60's- early seventies. Used em at his job, When they would get worn out from sharpening- he would leave them in an old tool box. I know he had those identical Barlows, several Schrades, and some Sears (that I believe had to be made by Schrade- looked identical) He always called them 'The persuaders'. We still have 7 or 8 of them! Thanks Schrade!

Nice! I really love the Uncle Henry knives, and always have, but I kinda like the pearloid scales on the Imperial knives as well. I've had a pocket knife ever since I got my knife badge as a cub scout sometime around 7 or 8 years old. I really don't remember the exact time frame, but you'll have to cut (no pun intended) me a little slack, because that was 50 years ago! I have more than a few Uncle Henry and Schrade knives, because I'm a collector, and a lifelong hunter/fisherman/outdoorsman/meatcutter/butcher. So as you can see, I've made my living using knives, and I'd like to think that I know a quality product when I see/handle one, and I value my Schrade and Uncle Henry knives as some of the finest knives I own. In fact, I have a little Schrade SP2 that I carry in my pocket every day, and it's an inexpensive little pocket knife that I've promised myself I'd get a better one when I wear it out, but I just don't seem to be able to do that!!! One of these days I'm going to have to replace it with something else, and retire it though, because it carries with it a lot of sentimental value, because it was a knife my Dad gave me for Christmas years ago. ;-) ♡ ♡ ♡
@K3Flyguy
@K3Flyguy 2 жыл бұрын
Im retired and make knives. My very favorite pattern is an over built, over sized Canoe pattern with true stag scales, 1084 blades and engraved brass bolsters. It takes several weeks to put one together and i always say " I don't want to let this one go"! Lolol of course they are built specifically for someone so they always go, but I'd love to just keep em all for myself! Men and knives are like women and diamonds, one can never have too many!
