I also use a spare leash around my waist to tether y walking dog. l recently started making a slipknot of the handle of the dog's leash through my waist leash handle, then connecting the latch. That way the two ropes are holding each other more instead of one sitting loosely on the other.

WOWSOSMART DANG!! btw i just saw a couple dog training seminars for free at my new daycare job, by this lady Cindy Peacock who used to work at zoos and stuff and still trains animals and she's BRILLIANT. i'm so glad i'm getting more dog psychology stuff cause it's so fascinating and keeps me interested in learning more about this line of work

How do you usually get the key to the house? Do the owners meet you somewhere to give you a key or what?

Well I discuss it with the dogs owners. Sometimes I get a copy to hold. Sometimes we plan on a place outside to hide the key and some have numbers you punch in on the door or garage.

I started out just using a waist connecting leash (and looped all of the dog's leashes through that). I believe the brand was Smoochy Poochy. BUT if you're a dog walker I definitely suggest something more durable/comfortable. This was good for starting out, and when I only had one or 2 dogs, but it's not very comfy if you have more than that!

I just snap them with my phone camera. I take a few and pick the best one. I usually make them sit with a treat. Or when I'm just about to drop them back at home. Then I edit them real quick in case they need brightening or to blur out the background so their dog stands out. I have had some owners complement me on my photos and actually put them in frames!!

i would have the people drop the dog off at the park (i have a little puppy park where i live) and then the dog and i would walk around and at the end i would have them go to the park after!!
