Yes and no… there’s weird years. But for the most part, the 1-3 seeds get to the final four more often. The 1 seeds alone clean up the field a lot and win a lot of the titles. Just like he said: don’t go chalk. But picking multiple 1 seeds (maybe even 3) is the key. Stats say you’re going to be right most of the time. Picking lower seeds is thinking with your gut, not your head

If you are just trying to have fun (like me) pick upsets and what’s exciting, but if you are trying to get the best bracket it’s statistically best to pick all 4 one seeds to make the final four and yes the odds of all 4 of making it are small but you don’t know which 1 seed isn’t going to make it or which 2, 3, 4, etc seed is going to make it.
