When it comes to physical health and aging, track your clean, potable water intake. Notice I didn’t say “fluids”, I said water. This the true fountain of youth. For thousands of years, men have looked for the fountain of youth, not realizing, it’s been around us all along.

James, this video is bloody brilliant. And when an American says "bloody brilliant" they mean it!

Great advices, James! Some people demonize being systematic, but, in the end of the day, that’s what makes you know more about yourself.

These are all good. I'd add, or replace the income category with, "net worth." Assets minus liabilities. The goal is for net worth to increase in the long term. If it's not, then income and spending should be looked at. More wealth gives one more options and increasing net worth is the road to wealth. Regarding a separate channel for health matters, which I'm glad you want to continue to address, I don't see the need for one and think you can keep it all on this channel. But I'm not opposed.

I agree with tracking net worth to monitor your wealth. I have been documenting my net worth every January 1st for the last twenty years. It helps spot trends in your finances. I keep this in the same notebook I use to track monthly income and expenses. Monitoring your finances is crucial.

Tracking my weight and strength has been a great health barometer. Slowly becoming stronger through the years, using birthday month as deadline for annual strength goals, has been successful. At nearly 60yo, am on track to squat 440lbs by my January bd, for example. If strength gradually improves, it's a direct indicator that diet, sleep, stress, etc., are in check. Also, track your books read. Makes for a pleasant end of year review.

You should add this content to your regular channel. It is good to expand it. As a fellow Chicagoan, it is easy to consume extra calories. Especially, bread.

I regularly attend the ‘Andysmanclub’ as an encouraging character to the group. These are guys who have considered or attempted suicide due to their pressures in their lives. I think by introducing your site into their lives it might introduce the start of some new goals that they might recognise, and hopefully set up and pursue.

Make a budget, strive to keep it, and analyze the week/month after the fact. It will be illuminating and may be surprising to see where some of your money goes, what value you perceive from what you have chosen to spend money on, and changes you may want to make going forward. I speak from experience; this is a weekly habit for me, and I have found it to be very beneficial.

I think tracking your expenditure is more important than tracking income. And just like eating 500 calories less is easier than working out for 500 calories, not buying or consuming that unnecessary item is easier than working for the same amount of money. But, maybe others see it differently...

I track the number of miles I cycle every week (100 miles per week), and my weight as well. As a result, my fitness is equal to when I was 21, despite being over twice that in age.

As important as fitness is, I think you should make it a seperate channel. I greatly apppreciate a channel dedicated to everything BUT fitness to come to, as many other self improvement channels are nothing but fitness. This does not mean you shouldn't share your journey, I think it would be very valuable, but you should also keep this channel unique

Gamify these metrics, award yourself a score based on completion of tracking and results of tracking such as weight loss or icreases in the stock portfolio. One point per metric tracked for 7 days, 5 points per pound lost 5 points per $100 extra invested above what's in your budget, 5 points per hour spent with family, 10 points per hour spent helping your community. What else does everyone think could improve this system?

I have been marking my daily resolutions for the past 6 years and this is the most effective and easiest way to increase self-discipline. Credit score - most of the world monitors their savings or assets, and Americans monitor their creditworthiness, this shows that something is wrong with you.

I'm sure I heard that checking your credit score can affect your credit score. By the way, if you're too lazy to track calories, keeping a food diary pretty much has the same result (as long as you're rigorously honest) - it keeps me eating healthy food because I just don't want to see junk right there in black and white. Also, with a couple of partners I've had, tracking a woman's time of the month can be really useful to know when to keep your mouth shut and not say anything you might regret. 😅
@awalton9024
@awalton9024 Ай бұрын
Credit inquiries from creditors are what affect the score. For example if you apply for ten credit cards in a month each issuer will make a credit inquiry and that would negatively affect your score.
