I saw Lucy in person and hugged her in February 2012. She is as gorgeous as ever and yes, she doesn't look her age. I was also very gratified that she recognized me. Its nice to have my obsession for the last 15 years actually recognize me, even if she doesn't know my name! LOL

I was at this convention with my husband and it was so much fun. They are such funny and beautiful women. I got to meet Renee and a picture and autograph from her. We even got tickets and we went to see Lucy perform at The Roxy that weekend. It was a great time.

Someone asked Lucy Lawless to run for President at the 2013 XWP Convention and she said she's been asked to run for office (in New Zealand) but said she isn't interested because she would be beholden to her constituency instead of making decisions she thought were right and did not to lose her integrity

When I was in Junior high I was in a couple of plays. I also wrote some plays. One of the plays I had the lead role in was "I never saw another butterfly" the other was "Flowers for Algernon." I met my friend Samantha Gailey back then--an incredible actresss whose mother referred me to an. Acting workshop (Peggy Furie) where I may have met Renee. Maybe. Maybe not.

Mr. Xena was a guy who used to dress as Xena at XWP conventions. He was always there. I think like a lot of other women, we thought he was dressing as Xena as a homage/joke to Xena whereas he was actually dressing as Xena because he was a trans-sexual. The former Mr. Xena explained to Lucy that SHE recently got a sex change and is now a female despite the deep voice. Lucy was saying that she remembered him/her and welcomed them to their new life (as a female).

you are very welcome. its hard to understand what lucy says because she talks so fast and mumbles a lot. i'd never written down verbatim what someone said for such an extended period of time. i hope the non-english speaker will use google language tools and clip the translation in bits to see what lucy and renee said. i keep editing it for content.

What I've heard repeatedly at many XWP Cons and in interviews is that the issue of ownership over Xena is in question. Tapert sold his rights to Universal (which I never would have done) and can't get permission or financing to film a Xena movie.
