Point No. 1, spot on, YOLO on all those pointless activities is indeed harmful to body as well as financials. However, YOLO is not fully bad if used at the right aspect. A little dose of YOLO is actually required to push yourself out of your comfort zone to start something new. For example, I was a camera shy dude but I pushed myself and YOLO-ed, started my KZbin channel with awkward videos, now I can speak better compared to 5-10 videos ago. All in all, solid advice !

Regarding thr vices, i would also add video games and collectable card games. Many of thr younger generation speand a lot on this. I do not smoke and do not drink, but used to spend around 600 to 800 a month on these( an i am considered a cheap buyer, as there are people that can spend up to 1 to 1.5 k per month). Anyways, have stoped all this for over a year and redirected that money to investment, i even made back about rm 5 k by selling all my boardgames, card games and video games.

Thanks for sharing.👍 Common sense but sadly, I see frivolous spending in people around us. I believe bad money habits stem from a lack of "financial role model" when young. Also, the root cause could be emotional problems.

It’s how much a society invests in education of its people that determines the affluence of the country. Country requires able people to be at the helm and it requires efficient people to execute the plans. Singapore is blessed to have both.

Josh; do you have any advice on how to budget your finances according to standard sgrean life goals such as: house; marriage; savings for children etc? together with looking at insurance and investments wholistically. or sth like that!
@joshconsultancy
@joshconsultancy 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Norman, I looked at your question deeply. Goals may be difficult to standardize. That's why rules of thumb like the 50/30/20 rule come in for different income level (kzbin.info/www/bejne/jnTGnq2pmdh1b6M). I have in mind some ideas for insurance planning so do SUBSCRIBE and stay tuned! =)

I want to trade with a small starting capital of only $5000. Looking to make at max 2 trades per day. Which broker do you recommend? 1. Saxo 2. TD Ameritrade 3. Interactive brokers 4. FSM one

Hi there, those listed are roughly the same. My recommendation is actually to don't trade. Invest properly. Slow and unspectacular. Sounds weird but I've consistently shared that. Thats in point 7 of this video. Hope it helps and cya around more =)
