I'm amazed. There's so much crap about food and eating habits on KZbin, so many who try to push their weird ideas and pseudo-science through as THE big thing to do, so this is literally the very first video, for normal people with normal lifes, that makes sense from 0:00 to the end. U ROCK GIRL! :)

Cheers for this, I been tryin to find out about "apocalyptic food stockpile generator" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Peyayleefern Simplest Principality - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? It is a good one of a kind product for discovering how to survive a crisis and keep your family safe minus the headache. Ive heard some super things about it and my neighbour got excellent results with it.

I've tried this a thousand times... my cravings always kill me. I'll eat a well balanced meal and it will satisfy my hunger, but my cravings always pull me to go make something else that I don't need and am too full to eat completely; though I normally eat it anyway and feel bloated and like crap later. It sucks.
@PookieYan10 жыл бұрын
I had bad addictions to sugar a few years ago. I started eating dried fruit and weening myself off slowly. Replace what you can manage with fresh fruit and/or dried fruit. I used dried fruit as a middle step and now just eat fresh fruit. Prunes taste awesome :P I love eating bananas chopped up and oranges these days, I also use milk, white tea with a tsp sugar and fruit bread throughout my diet, not simply when Im craving it. Dont remove sugar, replace it with good sugar :D

Hi Joanna, I have watched your video for the past few months and I have lost 8kg so far. I am now 1.61m and weight 58kg. my BMI is within 23 and I'm not sure if I should continue to lose more weight(sadly my boobies shrank when I lost all that weight). I was wondering if I can stop doing cardio, and focus on lifting weight and doing lunges at least 4 times a week to tone my body? don't really want to lose further boobies :(

This video is amazing. soon I am moving out from my parents so shopping will be all on me now :) I do go grocery shopping occasionally when I see that my mom doesn't have time or energy to go. I really looove love love grocery shopping, I don't know why but I get really excited to go there and walk through the isles, look at everything, look at all the labels etc. I can easily spend there two, three hours...its crazy :D but I never have a list and I tend to buy more things that I actually need, not bad or unhealthy things, just thist I didn't plan on buying. So I guess now when I will have my own bugdet, a grocery list will become handy dandy :) thanks soo much for this video, I love you!!!! :)

It's interesting seeing how my diet has evolved from 9 months ago (from my last comment here...) The only complex carbs I eat right now are potatoes, with rice, organic corn, and a few others being eaten somewhat less often. With the protein list, salmon, fish, eggs, chicken (dark not light), beans, grass-fed beef, and nuts all factor in here very heavily, plus turkey, lamb, avocado, sunflower seeds, etc. These kinds of foods are definitely a higher priority for me than complex carbs... Veggies, yep... I eat all the veggies you mentioned except for canned tomatoes. I eat quite a wide variety of veggies, and I try to stay fairly consistent with eating them... Fruits tend to take the place of much of what would otherwise be more the complex carbs, etc. So I eat a fair amount of fruit... Prob. more than you do... Snacks, yep... No yogurt for Ben. No crackers... Actually, I've stopped eating licorice as well (along with pork and bacon).

Planning your meals is so important for me! I love to cook all of my meals and if I go to the store and just buy random things, I might forget a produce item that I really need or I'll buy something that I have no recipes to eat it with. Another tip is to go through your kitchen BEFORE making a meal plan and see what you already have so that it doesn't go to waste and you don't end up buying something again.

How about trans-fat free, fibre rich oats and wheat biscuits? Though it contains lots of carbs and sugar and 250 gms gives about 500 Kcals. I don't know whether it is good or bad. That is my snacks and I also eat them along with banana as a pre-workout morning food (to break fast-mode).

If it has to be between soda or alcohol, I would chose wine, since its known to have some health benefits(not to diet, but to your heart I believe?) Just think of all of the sugar added to soda and those fancy cocktails, *shudder* BUT if you have been good thro your ''diet''(lifestyle change) I dont see anything wrong to having a soda/cocktail once in a while, remember, everything in moderation :D

For more details : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tempeh I am diggin' tempe so much, as it is rich in flavor, and a good source of cheap protein. My favorite method of cooking : cut it fries-style, lightly salted + dried ginger (to give it color), and deep frying it :D ^_^

You don't need complex carbs. Better to substitute fruit for grains, for the most part, with just a few starches like organic potatoes or organic corn... Apples, oranges and bananas, along with grapes and berries are always high priorities for me... Chicken breast isn't as tasty as chicken thighs... Organic skinless chicken and turkey thighs, organic eggs, wild-caught salmon, cod, mackerel, mahi mahi, etc., always good stuff... Veggies are a given. :-) Thumbs up for spices as well. I use a lot of basil, thyme, rosemary, sage, marjoram, savory, paprika, yellow curry powder, turmeric, fenugreek, chicken adobo seasoning, and garlic powder... With the "good stuff", I'm a big fan of dark chocolate and black licorice, along with cookie dough ice cream, well-marbled flank, skirt, tri tip, chuck, or sirloin beef steaks, uncured bacon, corned beef and cabbage, chocolate almond milk, lightly salted peanuts in the shell, walnuts in the shell, hot cocoa with calcium/vitamin D and some decent, good 'ol fashioned root beer... And other stuff... :-) No cheese, etc., though...

I get acid burns easily drinking lemon laced water :( Cherry tomatoes...I grow them as well! Vegetables Spinach Kailan Broccoli Cucumbers Cabbage Peas Mushrooms I need cauliflowers... I have dried Japanese seaweed salads that I go with organic miso for a quick soup that serves as dinner sometimes. I also add powdered vege mix powder that has some protein from grounded fish I think. Dairies Organic yoghurt for twice a week. Organic cheese with dried fruits yumz 'Protein source' Green, red beans Dried shrimps Mushrooms, Free ranch eggs Canned sardines Spices Chilli! Turmeric Pepper Japanese shichimi spice mix

The 1st time i saw one of your videos, i wasnt interested. Your speaking isnt the most entertaining, so i clicked away about 2 minutes in.... But a few days later (today), i ended up back at another of your videos. I watched it fully. And another of your videos. And ive subscribed now. And im gonna watch more of your vids right now. Let me say- your content is great. It is better than most KZbinrs, and it's nice not to have too much "entertainment" clogging up the useful info. Your channel is a gem for actual content. Thank you for your tone in your videos, and for not cluttering your videos with a huge amount of humor/anecdotes/random unrelated wasted time. I actually really prefer this tone in general-- the 1st time when i passed on your video, i just wanted entertainment over content that day-- but youtube has WAY too much of that already. It needs more people like you- focused on content, concisely presented. Your presentation style is so refreshing.
