I've noticed a lot of us can't even celebrate our achievements properly because we move the goal post to the next thing almost immediately.

I've watched several videos and noticed Joshua has not asked viewers to smash the Like button and subscribe. Love that! Here are his suggested values: 1. Choosing our own values 2. Aligning resources with those values 3. Not measuring my life with someone else's ruler 4. Committing to continuous growth 5. Controlling our attention 6. Living for others 7. Doing the next right thing the best way we know how

You have certainly changed the way i see things for sure. My house is decluttered to the point we only have what we use and no more. The way i treat people, actually have become a better listener, just to name a couple. Thank you 🙏

Happy belated Independence Day mr Joshua . Iam Arabic lady subscriber subscriber to several British and American KZbin channels since 2019 . We are as foreigners subscribers as overseas students want to increase our cultural level improve our English as well . I looked up for meaning of minimalist person describing their interest in keeping things very simple . Great proverb simplicity makes beauty . You sir known for simplify , more or less minimalist home . You wrote four books minimalism , and intentional living. There are simple ways to start living more minimal such as lifestyle . Give your self clear personal goal , time line . Decide how your home can help you live more minimalist life . Decluttering . Train yourself to with less . Ask yourself I do really need this all time . Invest in high quality items . I hope ican learn a lot from your knowledge. Best wishes for you your dearest ones .

This is yet another brilliant video. Very thought provoking. Success to me is being the best mum I can to my wonderful children and serving god as best I can. Making choices that are in line with my beliefs and being the best person I can be. Only god can judge me. Amen 🙏 x

I used to believe that living for others was a plan for success until……I had to completely walk the walk, so,to say. When I had two kids who are medically fragile and both have a chromosome triplication , I learned what that really means. Yes, it’s wonderful, but it eats you alive. It leaves a mark, so to say. I would no longer say that living for others is a mark of success; I would say it’s a life circumstance some of us live - for better AND for worse. You won’t hear rainbows and unicorns from me. This is legit soul crushing on many, many days. It all sounds good until, life forces one to completely walk the walk.

I also have a disabled child, and this “rule for success”-to live for others-hit me wrong too. Mostly it feels like a prison sentence. It’s certainly not a privilege, and I really don’t see it as a noble choice I’m making. I really can’t imagine what Joshua meant on this one. His visual was two people picking up trash! What?? He should remove this one, or think it through better. My heart goes out to you who struggle with your burden. I know how soul crushing it can be.

@@jeanmariemclain2836 thank you, thank you, thank you!! Most days this is just, no words. It is not noble; it is life. We aren’t special people; it is what it is. I will not end my days thinking of it as a success, but as life. I really appreciate any reality talk from others who know.

Life can be very hard. Are you able to list things that others in your circle or community could do to help? People looking out for others are often willing to join a rota in order to help out. But they cannot do that if they aren't aware of the small things that would help you. Every little helps and brings you back in touch with others.

@@annedaniel5256 hold the door for us when we are out. Say “ hello,” even if you are scared, and, yes, the reaction from my girls is unknown, but they see you and the interaction is so beneficial. Someone dropped some gift certificates at our door. Not huge amounts or anything, but I burst into tears and scared my kids, but I was so, so grateful at that moment, just so grateful. Someone payed for our bagels once. It was like under $7, but I was so shocked and grateful, and it was done silently. I would love , love to put a donation to their therapy center, “ school.” But I hesitate. The internet has been…..uh, Interestng. One of my lowest moments was in a “ support” group for chromosome triplications. Thst story still makes me shudder. The fact that I had two kids with a chromosome triplication scared people, esp. a few who were pregnant again, and I was told by one , “ My obstetrician says this is not possible.” I was in the depths of hell, and this just slayed me open. So, I won’t put where the donations are so personally needed, but look around your community for any schools or help for kids with severe, like catastrophic, birth defects or chromosome triplications ( like ones that take kids with trachs, feeding tubes, etc. ) Also, any donations or time spent doing anything for pediatric cardiothoracic units or care or pediatric oncology units or care or hospice care or even last days/ funeral expenses for kids with catastrophic brain injuries, severe birth defects or chromosome triplications. And……anything with true, vetted, known legit companies that train service dogs for kids. The ones that begin training inside jails are usually quite legit. Thank you deep,y for asking and caring as we often feel invisible and so, so, just “ other.”

As always Joshua... very poignant. I want to say though that that reaching age milestones is a myth that society holds over us to keep us "in line. There are no age goals. Life is a continual unfolding and only growth related. Growth is measured only against ourselves. Each one of us has a blessed path on which we are travelling.. . Love your thoughts. Thank you ❤
