Im a jayden reed believer. He only got something like 65% of the snaps. Sure, snaps and targets are earned. But he was a rookie in a deep wr room. Packers historically dont play rookie wrs heavily. Yet he took his opportunities and produced, broke packer rookie records. If he gets a 10% boost to his snaps (flowers had nearly 90%), which isnt asking much, reed could smash his adp. 94 targets on 65% snap rate is actually really impressive

Hey Nick, love the content! I have to call out though the point you made about Sean Payton and how he has produced top 3 backfield in 9 of 12 seasons and how we shouldn’t confuse causation with correlation. I could understand an argument for someone like McVay or Shanahan producing top backfields with multiple guys over the years, but all of those top backfield seasons from Payton were due primarily to Kamara with a couple from Ingram. I’m not saying Payton backfields can’t produce great numbers, but that we shouldn’t take the career success of two amazing RBs and say that it was solely because of Payton.
@tobyflederstech5305Ай бұрын
Payton got 1400 yards out of Darren Sproles, got 1,000 out of Pierre Thomas, 1300 out of Bush, all as part of committees. His RBs always push for the league lead in receptions

All amazing RBs in their own right, last season none of Denvers RBs were worth a shit and none are up to the level of Kamara, Ingram, Bush, etc. I think his main point, and i agree, is that too much of these great RBs success was attributed to Sean Payton being the coach. @tobyflederstech5305 that's fair, but with Denvers passing game not really seeing any improvement, and them having done nothing last year, I don't think year 2 with Denver will be enough for Payton to take any of these RBs into fantasy relevance. @notbenbutbenjiАй бұрын
If we're going to give Payton that much credit, and I believe what you're saying I'm not as researched on this, then it still falls on the RBs to be good enough to make it happen, and I don't think Javonte, Mclaughlin, or Perine will be that caliber

I'm avoiding all three Bears receivers. Rookie QB, several games in Soldier field in winter, I doubt Caleb will be throwing it 30+ times a game. How many targets will there be to distribute amongst these guys? I'd be surprised if any Bears receiver averages more than 6 targets a week. There's going to be several single digit scoring weeks from these guys. I also havent been drafting many Texans or Packers receivers. Too much 'by committee' receiving, meaning several games where your receiver gets 3 catches for 27 yards while the other receivers get 8/80/1.
