I most loved the tips #6 because I usually tend to walk aimlessly when presently, and this is a distraction itself. I feel like I am lost sometimes, especially when I am not inspired. lol.

I just can't seem to keep my feet planted. I pace around anxiously and I wish I didn't. Even when I rehearse on my own, I have too much nervous energy to stand still.
@alexanderlyon
@alexanderlyon 9 ай бұрын
My advice would be to redirect your nervous energy into using more hand gestures and into more volume in your voice.
@weetabixharry

@@alexanderlyon Good tip! I noticed that increasing my volume makes me feel more settled (which I thought was counterintuitive, but now makes perfect sense). I'll try out the hand gestures too. Thanks!

Yes, from the waist down, keep yourself planted. From the waist up, you can be animated.

I enjoy when the speaker walks around and does not just stand still. It helps me stay engage to speaker, it keeps my attention when they move around.

@@phillipsfamilly5 It may depend on the speaker. In my case, it looks jittery and distracting.

Could you analyze some of the worst speakers who do everything wrong and point them out?

I could do that but I don't. My approach is usually to show positive examples of good speakers. We need role models and concrete examples to inspire us.

Alex, first of all I wish this video gets you 2M views 😊 I would add another tip that I had to learn and I catch them with everyone I work with….. avoid filler words, the ums and ahhhhs 😂 SILENCE IS POWER, so pauses are great. I made a video about it and also on eye contact, yesssss, you’re right it’s awkward first, but it helps connect with the audience!
