Haha 😆 I’ve discovered that different keyboard in different regions don’t have the tilde key. Do you make use of custom keyboard shortcuts? If you do and you have previously saved a new keyboard, when you update FCP and new shortcuts are added for new features, the old “keyboard” you saved won’t have those shortcuts. You can switch back to the default keyboard to check. Is that it?
@bruce82092 жыл бұрын

The Tilde Key doesn't exist for AZERTY French keyboard (I can create the character by pressing option + N : ~ ... that's all) I've tried to find "override connections" in the command editor but I don't know where to find it (as my FCPX is in French). Even if I use the search tool, "override connections" or "~", there is nothing showing-up. Hope your future video will help your fellow French guys The only solution found is a to tinker a little bit. I have to lift the main clip from Storyline so the connections are transferred to the Blank clip 😩
@Brad_West2 жыл бұрын
Ah that’s quite a tricky one 😂 The only thing I can think of trying is to temporarily change your Mac’s language to English, find the “override connections” command, assign a custom key and then back to French. I hope that helps 😆🤞🏼
@nicolasguillaume22642 жыл бұрын
@@Brad_Westthanks. I did that. So it appears that Frenchies have to use COMMAND < . “override connections” is called "Remplacer les connexions" but what is weird is that to quit this mod, I have to click outside FCPX (like clicking on the batterie icon on the top right corner) 🤨
