I live in a home that doesn't have much garden space, but i have a neighbor who is elderly and hasn't been able to keep up with hers. I asked permission to use her plot, and she agreed! The kids and I have been going over there every morning for a picnic breakfast and some quality time in the dirt.

I swear you upload these videos at the perfect time for me. I’ve been down on myself lately because my house is a mess, the dishwasher is broke again, I need to do a massive declutter and with taking care of my kids I feel like I just don’t have the time or energy. When I am cleaning and decluttering I feel like I am neglecting my kids, when I am spending time with my kids I feel like I’m neglecting the house. I’m having a really hard time finding that balance and these videos help me so much!

Never underestimate what God can use. That analogy of the stable goat just hit home like you wouldn’t believe. I thrive on structure and routine and knowing what’s coming but I’m a farmers wife who doesn’t really like farming, the unpredictable nature of the job, my husband’s innate need to always be on the go and juggling a thousand jobs and as a parent to several boys with ADHD chaos is my world 90% of the time. What an amazing reframe to see myself as the calming presence in their lives, the order in the chaos, the predictable in all that is constantly unpredictable. Thank you for sharing these great tips but especially for doing it in your own unique fashion.

A tip on laundry probably already know but before bed I throw a load in do deley start for a hour before I plan I getting up then when I wake up I start my coffee and then switch it over by the time everyone has breakfast the loads ready to be folded and put it away it's made me so much more consistent, then I already have one load done if if I want to get ahead I can

In the 90s i remember my mom would clean the house by turning the stereo on,( always kept the same type of CDs in it lol) and at some point she would burn her favorite candles and turn the lamps on, so the evening it would create this calming atmosphere. ❤

I love that you mentioned self care. I like to start my cleaning routine by doing a self-check and taking care of my needs, whether that's getting a drink, using the restroom, or putting on some audio.

Yep, I’m definitely by description the “stable goat” of my home. 🥰 I 2nd the batch shopping! For many years, at the beginning of each month I’ve been doing one big grocery shopping trip and buying all our non-grocery household needs. Then I just shop for fresh items each week and I never have to purchase things like toilet paper or batteries during the month. A weekly shopping trip to the store or farm is mostly just for refilling our filtered water jugs, produce, and deli meat or cheese we ran out of early, and the pharmacy for picking up prescriptions if needed. We get coffee and local fresh milk as needed throughout the month at our local coffee roasters shop, eggs come from my sisters chickens. I HATE going to the store, so this works best for me. And “capsule” meal planning as well. I don’t plan meals way ahead, but I make meals out of the foods I’ve kept stocked and restocked each month from our freezers, refrigerator, and pantry.

The greatest thing ever for email declutter is the snooze feature! I use it to keep my inbox zero each night! I snooze things for when I will have time to respond or for the actual date I need the info. When they are snoozed they are removed from your inbox to another folder and will automatically return to your inbox when you wanted it to… life changing!

Doing these things will also teach your kids how to live well and make normal home tasks fun! I say this as a 24-year-old without kids yet, but I already knew -- and practice -- almost all of these because my mom did most of these things! She taught me to keep all the cleaning stuff in a basket for easy portability, to put on music throughout the day to make the humdrum more fun, to declutter and have a place for everything, and to take the time to do a little makeup and feel nice, just because feeling good in your skin is important! And I still practice all these things now, because she modeled them for me, and it makes my life so much happier and calmer. You're modeling living _well_ for your children by doing these things! :)

23:41 A great alternative to parchment paper is the non stick baking mats. I LOVE them! I still occasionally use parchment paper for the oddly shaped pans… but the nonstick mats are very affordable & last for years.

I just want to thank you so soooo much! I am a a busy mom with full time job in healthcare working 12 hrs a day 4days a week and last thing I worry about is how I look and how I present myself. I want to look better so I don’t look like a just rolled out of bed whenever I pick up my kids from school. To start, i bought myself a red lipstick and it does brightened up my tired dull face.

I do something like this, more like 20-30 mins, at night because I can't stand cleaning before 5pm. I'd rather get dressed and figure out how to have fun during the day. But cleaning in those 3 minute in-between time is so powerful. I always say...I will attack the mess the same way it attacks me (little by little.) TFS!

😍 baby chicks!!! I have 2 chicks and 4 ducklings at the moment that sleep in my laundry room just off my kitchen, the noise is for real. 😂 Thankfully they can spend their day playing and chirping OUTside right now!! The ten minute tidy is the backbone of homemaker survival. My older children were raised with that and they keep their rooms, even as teens!!!!, at a ten minute tidy. I like your cart better than mine. 🤔

I have ADHD and it is so very difficult to go through multiple rooms in 10 mins. I get squirreled off immediately. In 10 mins I have now created 20 different issues regarding cleaning, straightening up etc. I am super frustrated at the end of the time. Multi tasking is a great thing and I excel at it but it gets out of control quickly.❤❤

Great video! ❤ self care is so important to make you feel better about everything! I did use your link and got the self tanner! I really like your headband. I bought some handkerchiefs a few months ago to wear with my wigs as I have cancer. Having so much fun with them! Lol but the knot I tie at the top keeps coming out when I tuck the ends under. Is what you're wearing a square handkerchief? If not can you let me know where to find them? I also had alot of children. 5 and I'm expecting 2 grandchildren, a boy and a girl the last week in July making a total of 12 grandbabies!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Hi Angela, this is the first time I watch your videos and everything you say are good suggestions. However, speaking for self and others like me, too much for one video. For instance. The 10 minutes tidy, focus on that only and if you want to make the video longer, you can elaborate, so people like me can picture ourselves doing it. When you jump to something else and something else after that, it becomes too much. Other than that, good info. Thanks
