Agree with everything you say, 💯! BGC is the perfect home-base in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. The provinces in the Philippines are absolutely beautiful places to visit - but overwhelmingly you wouldn’t want to live there…

Absolutely not! You can stay in the provincial Cities and hop out to any destination in the Philippines..anytime you want! You can go to Boracay..to Siargao to spend some cool beach thingy..and go back to your condo flat in BGC, Makati or anyplace in Manila! Or be like some Dumaguete Expats who find Philippines their home!

Many expats chose to live in the cities of the provinces. Slower pace and has everything also. But if you have a big budget, BGC could be an option. BGC has made Manila a livable place. 😊

I am planning to retire in the Philippines somewhere between September 2025 and March 2026. I like BGC but think cost of living would be a problem with only about $2000 a month retirement. I kind of leaning to living in Eastwood City. It seems to be a similar lay-out as BGC but a little cheaper and a little older. I would like to know what you think of Eastwood City as a landing spot. I have already retired but still working because I have very little savings. It appears $2000 a month is enough income to live fairly well in Eastwood City. Would you agree? But I want to have an emergency fund built up before I move. I'm looking to have a least $25000. Could I do with less or do you think that is not enough? I would appreciate any info you could give me. Thank You. Bobby H.

Can I smoke a cigarette there, I know, I know everyone tells me to quit, but I enjoy it , I don’t drink at all , so it’s my only vise, that I enjoy, I didn’t see anyone with a cigarette or even a vape which I don’t care for personally, I’m a retired N.Y. Cop I’m clean easy going, very friendly type guy and divorced, and really want a good woman companion, And I really like were you are I’m not a country person, I like there modern infrastructure you have there and all the nice places & Restaurants, please respond as I plan to be there in August, you’re videos are great & I’ve been one of your subscribers for a while!!

How big a city is BGC in area size? What America size would you compare it too as far as size?

BGC is actually a neighborhood located in Taguig City in the National Capital Region of Metro Manila. Taguig has a population of over 800,000 and is 45 square kilometers in area. BGC itself is small, with a population of just over 17,000. I wouldn't compare it to a city, but rather a neighborhood.

I'm torn between IT park vs BGC, The reason why is because JRC immigration is at the mall nearby and will make it easier for me to renew my visa but if it's a easy way for me to renew there as well JJ let me know, I can afford to rent at either place

You can find a good filipina. It's just harder to find one here in BGC unless they are from other areas outside of BGC. My girlfriend is from Negros but works here.
