It applies in any country you want to stay. Adjustment is the key - culture, traditions, food, traffic, languages, etc. And it's a must if you want to live that particular place. No murmuring and tirades if you want to survive.

I have lived in Papua NewGuinea, New Zealand and Germany as well as in various places within Australia. Every place, even at home has pros and cons so don't look for paradise.. it does not exist. Life if full of imperfections, ups and downs so its a matter of finding a place where you feel comfortable and where you can contribute. Having a purpose and a role is critical. Moreover, a horrible place can be ok if you have a loving partner. Many things are out of our control so engineeing an environment which might resemble utopia is a pointless endeavour. The places where i have seen the most contented people on earth as those who live a simple life. Likewise the saddest people i have met are the wealthy ones. Moving to another culture takes guts becuse it means making some fundamental changes internally as well as externally. You cant take the old you to a new place and expect a brighter better life. You have to change yourself. I am not criticising anyone here...its just an observation i have made as an expat. Currently im considering moving to the Philippines myself but i know the problems will not be what i find there but rather..what will my ability be to cope it .

I agree with everything you said 100%. Not everyone can adapt. That's why I made this video, so people would understand that the Philippines is a beautiful place full of beautiful people, but don't expect a country to change to suit someone else's needs or wants. Thanks so much for watching.

I've been living in Chicago, off and on, for 30+ years. Outside my door, there are poor homeless people, junkies getting high, mentally ill people screaming all night, dogs barking, police sirens and gunshots. I don't own a car so I have to walk everywhere or take a bus. We only have fast food or liquor stores. Inflation is rampant and rents are going up. Plus it's cold and snowy Nov-May. Good pointers. It is what it is. Each city in the world has its "You need to adjust on some inconveniences." But in the Philippines, there's positive things over these inconveniences. Specific things that are not available? There are alternatives, most of the time, better. Yes, some may not have enough or nothing at all, but Filipinos will never be out of smiles and generosity. Filipinos survive whatever challenges you put on their path. I'm here in San Francisco, CA, and I have never seen such massive homelessness. in your face drug dealings and organized theft. Do search KZbin about theft and homelessness and see for yourself. There's no other place like Philippines in the world. I'm so excited to come back in a few years to my beloved Philippines 🇵🇭. I am thankful 🙏 and proud that I was born a Filipino 💪🫶

BGC is like a world of its own. Upscale and exclusive in some ways. It's fashioned to a more sophisticated market and of course to attract more tourist into the area. I used to rent a space there, but I guess age does that to you, I got tired of the noise and chaos haha.

What area of Manila would you recommend instead?
@pinayblogista Жыл бұрын
@@theswede5402 Choosing where to stay in Manila or the surrounding metro areas really comes down to what you're looking for. While Manila is part of Metro Manila, it's just one of the 17 cities that make up the whole metro. Your ideal spot depends on your preferences and adaptability. If you want easy access to establishments, Makati, Mandaluyong, Pasig, and Quezon City are great options. You can find affordable studios or condos for rent. Fairview (Farview), Quezon City is a very long drive. Keep in mind that while Mandaluyong might experience occasional flooding, and Quezon City could face drainage issues, and Pasig is also prone to flooding, there are still plenty of good choices to consider.

Unlike the cost of living in west that's 5 to 8 times more expensive!! Most of the beggars in manila are indeginous people being imported by the syndicate from the province to beg in manila!! If you can observe this beggars are being transported to their post by vans in the morning!! And being collected by 6 in the afternoon!! That's giving the impression that there's to much poverty in manila!! In fact those beggars are badgiao tribes from mindanao!! A tribe of muslims
