We moved to McDonald’s Highlands years ago. It is probably the most beautiful neighborhood in Las Vegas, as we checked everywhere before we bought our property, the architecture in this neighborhood is probably one of the best in the country, however, I’m not sure about the safe claim- robbery, shooting and theft all happened during the time we stayed in this gated community. It is also very dry, super windy and dusty all the time. You cannot possibly keep an open walk in closet or your personal items will be covered in dust. So is everywhere else in the house. I don’t see why having a pool as it’s super hot to use in the summertime and a pain in the ass to clean it all the time with the dusty environment, and water evaporates super fast under the sun. The summer here is unbearable. You cannot go outside at all for 3 to 4 months of the year so we have to keep a second home just to get away.There are snakes and coyotes in this neighborhood and we have one snake came into our home, I had nightmares just thinking about it. The best thing in this neighborhood is the golf club, staff are super friendly, and the golf club is beautiful and has great amenities, best views, although comes with a high price tag. We honestly would not have lived here if it’s not for the state tax and low cost of property tax. Be sure to do your own research if this is your only home before moving here, you will have to get used to the desert dust allergy after moving here- it is very common for new residents. Driving is very dangerous in Vegas, there are organized crime to create accidents purposely targeting high end cars in “problemed”intersections so they can get paid by two insurance companies, hence, injury lawyers are everywhere on the billboards…we learned so much more after we moved here that we would never have known and no agents will be 100% honest with you. So conducting your own research is very important.

Every time I visited MacDonald highlands I was at Awe. Beautiful views, quiet, clean almost like a city or village of its own.
