If I understood the Turkey thing correctly, the government subsidises the clinics to make it this cost effective. Turkey is trying to create a medical hospitality industry like Thailand and South Korea. I'm unsure if this is good or bad but there seem to be lots of genuine positive reviews, which is good. I did mine in South Korean in late July 3000 grafts, about $10k Aussie. I think I just look weird at the moment because I have hair!! Seriously though, at the end of 3 months it is looking better everyday and all transplants seem to be going strong. I suspect by month 6 all grafts will have grown out and it will look natural. It would be challenging for the US to compete with these countries because of the government subsidies these countries offer.

I had a really well done transplant in Cologne, Germany. I started out with naturally thin, curly hair and they repaired my balding scalp. The hair is not very dense but it's the best that could be done given the situation because before the transplant my donor area was already very light. My expectations were realistic and so I'm more than happy with the result! I'm taking 1mg finasteride now too, hoping to restore some more hair. I don't know if it will do anything at this point but it's just something I feel like I have to do to at least prevent further loss.

9 out of 10 hair transplants look bad just because the shape of the hairline looks too straight and too fake. A hair line is not a straight line. I even see it in movie whigs. Look at Captain Kirk in Star Trek. In some Episodes his hair looks normal and in others his hairline is just a straight line. I like to draw people and faces and it is always important to get the hairline look natural. But most doctors only know how to transplant hair but have no clue how a hairline is shaped.
@roncerjani906311 ай бұрын
Best solution is, show them a photo of yourself before hairfall. I don't understand why people go extra with the hairline and then remain dissatisfied. If someone puts shining white dentures for example, don't expect people to think your teeth are natural.

Each patient is a different case. If your hair type is thin then it is more difficult to get a thicker look and it will be very important to get adequate blood flow to all of the areas. I am about 8 months after my second surgery and the thickness is appealing and at first I thought it should be thicker and then I compared it to pictures of myself 15 years ago and I have a better hairline and more thickness now than when I was in my late 20s.

Question, could you not do a hair transplant and take hair from the back or side of your head so much that you wouldn't need to use any medication when the hair has grown back? The transplanted hair stays there forever right? I don't really need hair on the sides or back of my head, I could basicly have an undercut all the time, would be great lol. I had a hair transplant 3 years ago. It was a dream of mine and saved for 4 years for it. I was distressed about the amount of hair loss I had and being short and bald was really depressing me. I had it done in London UK, they changed my surgery location 1 week before because my surgeon was sick, it was supposed to be in Manchester. I thought same company must be good. After I had it done I had the worst necrosis that I have seen of anybody online and massive scarring in the top of my head and also the back of my head. 80% of the grafts obviously failed and had just minor parts at the very front front succeed. They also made errors on the aftercare sheet which made things worse as well as I wasn’t washing long enough. It turned out one of the people doing the surgery was a trainee which I wasn’t notified about before. Now I have to have my hair from the back cover my front like a bad comb over. The worst of it all is that because of the scarring I cannot even go bald now due to the scarring in the front of my head and back of my head. I’m so depressed and my hair loss is getting worse and I really don’t know what todo. Or who I can trust or if it can even be corrected I just don’t want to go through the same thing and pain all over again. But I don’t want to go bald and have bad shiny scarring all over my head. They have not only not given hair but messed up my opportunity of ever looking normal. Please doctor help me with some advice and what can be done for me.

There has been no blood when I have touched it so I am hoping it means the grafts have not been damaged. Maybe a vid on how to tell between a graft coming out and the hair shredding? :)
@dallaslooksmaxxer3505 Жыл бұрын
I am not a doctor (but had a procedure done). I 100% understand your concerns as I too was in your same shoes 2 years ago. First, know that the grafts are pretty much seated 72 hours after the procedure, but it’s still important to not touch/rub them up to 6 days following the procedure. Secondly, if you see hairs falling out two weeks after the procedure, that’s just the normal shedding process. Even though most of your transplanted hair fall out after two weeks, the follicles themselves will be deeply rooted underneath the skin. So no worries there. Lastly, as you mentioned, if a hat falls out and there’s no blood, that means the skin tissue is not damaged, which means that the follicle didn’t get detached, but rather, the hair was just pulled out or started shedding early. So no worrries there either. You only messed up if it bleeds. If you have further concerns, I’d call your doc. Hope this helped and enjoy your hair bro 💯

Bro after 9 days, yes exactly 9 days, your grafts are so secure that you would need doctor remove them surgically. It is hard for them to fall off. I am an active yoga teacher and practitioner. I had a hair transplant done revenging. I am not planning on returning to yoga practice for 3-4 weeks after my surgery. I had it one week ago.. I'm curious what you think about headstands during the yoga practice. my inclination is to wait longer than one month to perform a headstand because of the pressure it would put on the grafts.. but I'm curious how long you think it would need to heal before I can stay in a headstand for a minute or two. also I have heard that the headstand position in general is good for your hair growth and hair.. let me know if you have thoughts. even if its a short KZbin video it would be good to know more information on this

I have a question about post-operative recovery, hair shedding and dieting. I had my transplant surgery about 6 weeks ago and am already in the shedding phase. I understand this is normal and I’m not concerned. However, I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and my GP wants me to go on a 12-week very low-calorie diet. I know that some people may develop hair loss called telogen effluvium (TE) during low-calorie diets. Usually, this hair grows back after the diet has ended. I am more concerned about permanently damaging the newly transplanted hair grafts. Is there a significant risk of this if I do a very low-calorie diet? I am taking finasteride and using minoxidil as well.

There is a popular country with too many clinics and with many amateurish experts. One clinic offered 8000 grafts in 1 session! I've visited 10 clinics and still ended up with a trickster, who looked like an experienced surgeon. Graft placements in the wrong direction and with the wrong angle.

Hi! Thank you so much for your informative vids. I do wish you would vet hair transplant Dr's in Scottsdale, Arizona. I have major thinning on the top front of my crown, but am able to disguise it with "fillers". Dry-spray shampoo, etc. My hair is long(4"below shoulder length) but very fine. No health issues, just DNA/post-menopause. SO fun, lol.

Doctor Linkov, what are your thoughts on Verteporfin ?
@spooner3452 Жыл бұрын
Dr. Linkov could you please make 1 video about the whole WORKOUT + Whey and Creatine consumption after hair transplant and somehow try to clarify for us the advantages vs disadvantages. I mean, many of us would love to get back to training and lifting weights but I assume many of us are unsure if its really healthy to be doing a sort of a heavier workout and take whey protein and creatine, since there have been reports that the consuption of the two could lead to a hair loss...Would be great if you touched this topic as well. Thank you doctor and warm regards from Budva, Montenegro

Hey Gary. I've been a long time viewer and wanted to ask you a question and just choose this video randomly lol. I have been a longtime hairloss sufferer I used to use Propecia and since I turned 30 I started using Avodart since Propecia didn't do anything for me. Anyways, I'm just wondering your through's on PFS syndrome? Do you believe it exists or is it a result of compounding problems that happen to be blamed on a hair loss drug. I don't have an answer either way. Just wanted your take. Enjoy the rest of your weekend and bye bye.

hi i wanted to ask how to know if my hair loss is because of androgenetic alopecia or vitamin d3.. i recently went for a vitamin d test and my vitamin d3 level is 9.4.. my hair on top are thin as compared to sides or back of my head i have been on minoxidil and finestride 1mg for 70 days i have seen a little bit of improvement from these medicines but some doctors say that vitamin D deficiency can also cause hair thinning. what do you say about this. hoping a reply from you

Nah, this doctor is in NYC. I called him for a quote and the amount he told me was so bizarre, I can't even remember what the amount was, I just knew I'd need a loan to do it. I went to Turkey, paid a few thousand and I've been good since. Go to Turkey. A man who sells oil will always tell you how other people's oil isn't good. I don't sell oil, I buy it. So take it from ME, cus I don't have a dream to sell you for profit. Do your research. But go to TURKEY!!!!!

What you charge for hair transplants is outrageous, you could get better results at 1/5th the price in romania, turkey or greece Just say you charge an insane amount because you have a lot of customers, and you have those because of your youtube channel, not because of your "superb" results

After the second FUE my hair seemed like it got really thin. It’s like the second session ruined the first. Some feed back would be appreciated

Literally I think they was just throwing follicles where there was already . Which ruined it. Also those hair tht got transplanted the first time no telling how secure they was. Mind you it’ll never Be as good as the natural follicles . So I think the trauma might’ve uproot them

I've just had my first transplant at a leading clinic in Turkey and when desinging the hairline they would not let me have any say on the hairline and drew on an m shaped receding hairline even though i had hair growth lower then where they drew the planned hairline and when i said i wasn't happy with the design they became very argumentative and said they cannot do it any lower due to where my eyebrow muscles are located quite high which i don't think they are at all and if they were to do it any lower it would fail and fall out and no hair would grow there. I explained to them again on the day of the transplant while i was on the operation bed that i already have some hair growth lower than where they were willing to transplant and i would like the hairline very slightly lower and I was told they will cancel the whole operation if i don't go with what they wanted. It sounds strange to me that others have a choice on the shape of hairline when i was not given one. Is there any truth to what they were saying or where they just not a cooperative clinic?
