Yup. Reserved people tend to be a lot happier internally (which is where feelings are at naturally) than they look on the outside. A lot of people don’t really understand that and assume you must be miserable about something if you’re not smiling all the time but really reserved people feel misery at about the same level as everyone else. It’s just that they don’t tend to wear their hearts on their sleeves regardless so other people often misread their body language and see a certain misery that may or may not actually be there.

People telling you to outwardly perk up a little is usually done with good intentions and sometimes it actually does serve an amiably practical function but I do think certain people need to understand that one individual’s happiness does not need to be expressed on the outside for everyone else to see. Some people like to walk around with a big grin on their faces at all times and other people’s happiness derives more from a sense of inner contentment and quiet geniality which other people might or mightn’t see. Neither’s wrong.

I never tell my clients that they're the best just because they're introverts. It ultimately depends on the situation and what's needed. If you find an introvert to be a salesperson, you're going to have some trouble closing. If you need to do deep work, introverts have a natural advantage.

The difference is in the speed of manifesting ideas and interactions with the world. Introverts are middle to slow paced, they dont tend to act in the heat of the moment, they wait, then act. Extroverts, on the contrary tend to make quick choices, cause the way they process the world is by entering the world itself, so actually letting all their thoughts and intentions is 10/10 the way to go in their heads. Introverts 0/10 prefer action before thought.

Difference is strength, we are not all to be equal! It doesn't works that way. Both extra and intro verts can work together to get the best out of life. Every successful group I have been in has had a mix of extra and intro verts. And the introverts, myself being one, had an important role. Introverts grow to become advisors. Not ones that want to be in direct command but if the boss wants advice they come to the introverts. Those in command KNOW that extroverts will tell things... but that introverts will give them deeper insight. So successful groups are aided by an introvert on the team.

As an introvert and a little social . Not like most but , I'm not antisocial . Is not wanting to hang with people or strangers often antisocial . People are nasty and I'm guilty too . I feel like when you're so engaged with so many people it can have an affect on your emotional state . Society pressures . I enjoy socializing but , to a bare minimum because I know how people are . Cant associate myself with people much , here comes the testing and trying and then you end up confronting them for the disrespect and the relationship turns sour . Protect your energy with positive , uplifting , good-hearted people . Yes we all have a darkside but , some aren't nasty to the core .

I know it’s very cliched and it doesn’t directly help that much with your financial circumstances but at least you have a job. That’s a luxury that a lot of people aren’t afforded at the moment (Boris Johnson included as of this morning). Just hang in there. Just about everyone’s struggling in some form or other at the moment (financially or otherwise) but nothing’s permanent. Maybe try and bear that in mind.

Yup. Shy/socially-anxious extrovert feel uncomfortable around other people but desperately want to be around them. Introverts can take or leave vis-a-vis interaction (with a preference for solitude) anyway so all their shy anxiety (if they have it) does is give them more incentive to keep to themselves and stay in their lane/a.
