➡Why do you think Transformers Rise of the Beasts failed? 💫It's worth noting, I personally don't think the movie failed. I found it a very satisfying Transformers film but I do think these reasons may have contributed to the movie not reaching studio expectations and I can understand why some fans and movie-goers were put off.

I do not think it failed, Budget can be difficult on result as well. i enjoyed it from minute one to the end. but ofc everyone has different opinion. After watching it countless of time i notice erroc, small mistakes etc that could be avoided but it dosnt mind me at all. After all, we should be happy they still continues these movies. But our opinion is much needed for them aswell.

I’d say the movie didn’t fail by breaking even, but it still didn’t gain a lot of profit either. Shame but considering that June was essentially a war zone at the box office, Transformers: ROTB making $440 million is quite impressive honestly. I just hope the sequels don’t do worse lol.

Although the movie didn't do well, I think it turned out to be a success. But we are getting a sequel anyway. We just have to wait for the other two movies. Lorenzo should just accept the fact that this franchise is a reboot and a sequel to Bumblebee. I think the main problem was that it was going up against Across the Spider verse. Perhaps if the movie was released on the same date as Australia, the movie could've made more money. This is 1 out of 3 movies for the franchise. I have hope for the next two movies, and really do believe they will bring some Decepticons to the second movie and save the major ones like, Megatron, Soundwave, Starscream, and Shockwave in the 3rd final installment, but tease them at the end of the second movie.

Out of all these reasons I think the last one is the more likely reason why ROTB didn’t make as much money as everyone hoped. There was just so much competition and each film released in June that each film released suffered in some way. I’m sure the writers strike going on during that time didn’t help things either. The films budget is probably much the typical budget each of the Micheal Bay sequels had. It is a PREQUEL and people just need to accept it and that Lorenzo is the man who is in charge of everything since he is the head producer and is the one providing money and hiring the people who work on the films including the directors. Having Bay be a part of the production makes sense because his films have been box office successes and with a franchise as big as Transformers you want to make lots of money and Bay was the way to do it. Delzord even made shorts telling us that Bay still has a lot of power over the Transformers films and that the studio need HIS permission to bring in the GI Joes into the films. Travis Knight didn’t come back because he prefers making stop motion films then live action films so it makes sense why Paramount didn’t try to bring him back because he doesn’t have interest in returning. To much competition and unfortunate events going on at the time are what I believe caused ROTB to not make as much as the Bay films. It’s still technically a success though just not as much as everyone hoped it would.

I still fell like its a success compared to most blockbusters of the summer, but it definitely didn't exceed the money Bumblebee did (which was currently the lowest at the time) and further let Lorenzo try to spin the franchise his way rather than let Steven properly continue Bumblebee's universe as intended. Still regardless of that, I love the movie and I'm glad it made its money back on merchandise sales and at least put some faith into the franchise again with hardcore fans. And I'm also happy to see Steven still attached in some way for the next film and is hopefully given more creative freedom with the sequel.

I think a reason why Transformers Rise of The Beasts failed was the exact same way that the DCEU failed. It went too big too fast. The Bumblebee movie is like Man Of Steel and Rise of The Beasts is the Batman v Superman of the Transformers movies. We needed time for the elements that were presented in Rise of The Beasts one movie at a time. The MCU was successful because it introduced us to each of the Avengers in their own movies leading up to The Avengers.

Also, another reason why Rise of The Beasts failed was because they didn't bring back Hailee Steinfeld's Charlie Watson to be another connective tissue to the previous movie Bumblebee. Also, with her there we would feel more for her safety because we had connected with her in Bumblebee. Thus, for me I would consider Rise of The Beasts to be a reboot within a reboot because of Charlie not being in it.

2:40 See this is exactly what im talking about, this absolutley shows that paramount had no idea what they were doing and couldn't figure things out nor decide the future of this franchise ever since ROTB was in production. Cuz you can tell the way how both Steven and Lorenzo sounds and looked when they were asked the same question about the film, 😂either being a prequel or reboot. so for them claiming those statements were nothing but excuses in order to get fans attention while knowing that they had no idea what the film was going to be which caused it to be an installment with wasted potential SMH. TBH, the best choice that paramount should have done is by stopping at TF4 where the main characters are still the original cast from 1-3 and meet Cade Yeager, save the 5th and 6th installments for later, then start with a prequel trilogy that explains the transformers lore (like BB and ROTB with different plots for starters) create a sector 7 tv series that explains their origins and history with the transformers like in beginnings, and build up for the next sequels that takes place after AOE where it shares a connection and expands the bayverse. So that way it wont cause any confusion or this idiotic debate that has been going on for the past 5 years but since paramount cant decide whether to continue the bayverse or create a new trilogy this franchise might be at its downfall already 😑 and what paramount needs to understand is that if the creators know that they can't plan to create a reboot of the transformers film series then they shouldn't even bother instead of trying so hard, force things and making excuses in order to please fans who will probably still talk shit if the studios made a film what they've been waiting for 😂😑.

And i do believe beast wars could work in the live action franchise as a prequel film or tv series... Where the installment explains the origins of the Maximals and Predacons as descendants of the cybertronians who were left stranded on earth after the dynasty of primes disappeared 17,000 years ago, Where they adapt, evolved, have the ability to transform into prehistoric animals, and create tribes which could've led to the beginning of the beast wars. But would have happened if paramount had a game plan for this franchise instead struggling making excuses to fans 😂.

Some interesting points! I would have made a Paramount+ series on Agent Burns, retaining John Cena as the character and exploring Sector 7. I though this would pretty much a no-brainer but they let him go and DC signed him up as Peacemaker.

I've not seen any fan screaming for this crossover so it's a risk and the timing doesn't seem right when the focus should be to re-establish Transformers live-action.

@@Delzord TBH, the GI joe Crossover idea is nothing but another excuse made by the studios in order to gain fans' attention and support. The reason why it will not work nor happen is because... 1. None of previous films nor bumblebee mentions or hint that GI JOE share a connection to the series or even builds up for a future crossover. 2. It was a random idea that appeared out of nowhere at the end of ROTB due to the studios not thinking straight 3. The film failed at the box office due to not having lore, development, and plot. Which makes it an installment with wasted potential.

I thought the writing was ok to be honest, but if you didn't like the Bayverse I can see why the comparison is made to previous films but that's what Lonrenzo wanted. He stated it so many times - a movie with heart but with the same action and spectacle of the Bayverse. I didn't have a problem with the spectacle of Bumblebee, it was just fine. I actually enjoyed the more contained story but I did like Rise of the Beasts, I just think it was jump to soon when fans were happy for a gradual build to a giant size Transformers movie.

I think the reason it might have failed, was how it deviated from the original series that inspired the movie. If they had gone with the cartoon series storyline, they would have had way more to work with. Instead we get a whole new universe or timespan or dimension or whatever. No megatron, or decepticons, no predicons or their groupings. Also, the addition of some sort of super key to other time and dimensions is pointless. No energon sickness or need for the beast modes, also why only select members and the death of the bird was just blah. The humans were just the two helping them, no one else was given any importance or inclusion. Worst part of all this movie, the bad guy was stronger than optimus prime....wtf makes a movie with a new villain like that? Sigh, it was ok to watch if you enjoy transformers movies, but not really worth more than that.

The plot im sorry but it's not that different from the Bayverse, they introduce a mcguffin from millions of years ago which the good guys and the bad guys need. The plot is basic and repetitive. 3. To be honest, many prefer the Bayverse over Bumblebee. That's why the Bayverse films grossed more money, even though Transformers The Last Knight failed it still made more, it still made more than 600 million, actually it only failed because of its North American box office, it only grossed 130 million in North America, but actually made 475 million in other territories, which is a lot. There were actually many people who were reluctant to see Transformers Rise of the Beasts because they hated Bumblebee. People should stop blaming Michael Bay, Travis Knight's Bumblebee is actually the one to blame for Transformers Rise of the Beasts' failure. There are more people who actually like that Bayverse movies more, some of them actually say Transformers Age of Extinction and Transformers The Last Knight are the best but they are scared to say so, since they'll be attacked.

no one ever talks about how non of the Transformers movies ever felt like Transformers movies except for Bumblebee it always felt like it’s a movie about the humans with Transformers in the background. the plot was always human-driven with the Transformers being the background characters. ROTB failed me, like how the first 5 movies did. if the army/humans really could kill a Con, what’s the use of having Autobots? in Bumblebee movie you could literally see him rising up against human attacks, which shows that Transformers are strong and overpowers humans. but in ROTB, some douche gets to kill Terrorcons while wearing an iron man suit, what’s the use of Autobots?? just call it a human vs aliens movie FFS. lets not forget that stupid scene in the museum where these human characters stopped Terrorcons by jamming the door, and in the very next scene, those same Terrorcons had the power to smash through walls??? how inconsistent is that??? whereas in the Bumblebee movie, yeah he has a human companion. but nothing about Charlie actually drives the movie. you don’t see Charlie fighting the Decepticons. you see her sneaking into the Army. human-to-human interaction. if we remove Charlie scenes from the plot the movie would go along just fine. we as the audience knows she’s only human and she’s trying her best to help. we don’t expect her to kill Decepticons. yet in ROTB, this thief is suddenly the main character. somehow we can’t remove the humans from the plot of the story else the movie won’t make sense. all over again it’s another human-driven story with the dude being the main character of the movie. cos if the humans aint there in the last scene, the Autobots couldn’t defeat Scourge you never see human-driven plots in the cartoons either. we only see Autobots vs Decepticons. yet they ALWAYS do these human-driven plots in the movies. ROTB really let me down considering i had high expectations after Bumblebee movie.

I disagree, while I like all the Transformers movies, Bumblebee is disappointing, it's not ambitious, it's obvious, it tries to be E.T. While Michael Bay's movies' were incoherent, they still had a plot, unlike Bumblebee, it is thinly plotted, and it has character obsession. Watch Filmento's review of Bumblebee, you'll see what I mean. Amongst the live-action Transformers, Bumblebee is my least favorite even though still love it I feel like G1 fans overrate it.

Transformers,GI Joe in one universe it something that I am not into it.Maybe that a reason for being not a great movie because they do a crossover in the end of movie.I do like Cena and Hailee character.And I hope they bring back this two together one again.

For me, thee Bayverse connection was terrible. Because watching the movie itself, I can´t even say it´s not a prequel. Too many tie ins. And as for the beasts... they were barely there, and they were the selling point. You could replace them with junkions and get 90% of the same plot.

Reason 8: the Decepticons were not in it, again. First movie. The Cons are barely characters and Megatron was just the final boss. Second movie. Cons are barely characters and Megatron is upstaged by a two-bit side villain. Thread movie. See above, but Megatron died again . Fourth movie. A bounty hunter and humans are the villains and the Cons are just faceless zombies. Fifth movie. Prime and yet another two-bit side character are the villains. Sixth movie. Decepticons doing things, being characters for once. Seventh movie. More side villains and this time, no Cons at all!

Honestly I still wished we didn't get this crossover, as cool as it was. They could have sticked with Autobots vs Decepticons in the style of Travis Knight but more action. Also Lorenzo needs to be fired.

Was it because it wasn't "G1 accurate" like how Bumblebee 2019 (Which is a Transformers film that didn't impress me at all and they screwed over Peter Cullen too)? I enjoyed ROTB, even if it wasn't "G1 accurate" and the fighting to me felt, cheap and blocky... Idk, it just looked blocky and cheap. I still prefer the fighting that was featured in Bayverse. And if we're all being honest here, G1 itself wasn't even accurate. The show would change shapes, sizes, colors, and even whole freaking designs would change. To me, nothing will top Bayformers, ROTB came close to standing along side the Bayverse and truth be told, I goes in maybe 4th place pushing AOE down to 5th. But nothing to me for all I know of will top it, even if it's "G1 accurate". I could care less about that, give me a good movie with good designs, good story and good fighting, and a not small and weak Optimus Prime, and I'm happy. But this is my opinion

I guess that could of worked but I think Bumblebee has a certain tone. ROTB has a bit of that tone but like Lorenzo wanted it has more explosive action. I don't think the Bumblebee movie was exactly lacking action, so I am not so sure why the Producer was so desperate to push for that aspect to come back which then drew plenty of reminders to the Bayverse.

This video doesn't say that at all! Steven Caple Jr did a great job but there are many reasons and circumstances that the movie didn't perform. Transformers: Bumblebee did return on it's budget and didn't have the attached expectations. There is not hate towards any director. Slightly confused how you came to that conclusion.

This movie has my least favorite Optimus Prime and Primal. That's part of the reason it failed for me. Prime is bitter and mean without a justified reason. And Ron Pearlman's voice sucks for Primal.
