I love when you do these lists, makes me also think of more reasons why RVA is the best.

Why do we drive a few hours to another (similar) city and do all the fun things, but hardly ever in our own city? :) Staycation time!!

I saw the Leg Warmers in Falls Church! Awesome band! Former Richmond resident circa 1980s chiming in…

Richmond has gotten so expensive since I moved there in 1998. Left 6 months ago to Tulsa, OK. It is not friendly -- left with no friends. There are four season -- but many other places do too. It is the center of everything and I do miss that. The dinning is great but not the recent meal tax. It is eclectic and because of it has become gentrified which has driven the prices up particularly in the bottom. The art district is wonderful and yet they chose to tear down art and history on Monument Avenue. There are a lot of way to get around which a lot of them cost money with the tolls. Richmond used to be great and now there is crime, high prices, gentrification and general chaos. Sadly too it drives people like me out at 60 when I could no longer afford to call it home. Unfortunate all around.

Thank you for your perspective; I’m sorry that RVA and Virginia no longer felt like home for you. Hope OK is a better fit for you.

Richmond...well, you've had your day in the sun...besides myself, who else is ready to see another "Melton Realty Challenge"?? Let's get to the point- I can so see Erin strolling on Main St Greenville SC & giving her recommendations 😀. Yes, the Upstate of SC could be the next adventure for the Meltons...conveniently located b/t Charlotte & Atlanta, a day trip to the Gatlinburg/ Pigeon Forge area is definitely obtainable...nearby lakes abound, job opportunities, NO car inspections, fireworks are LEGAL- Yee- Hi !! And the best part- hearing Erin open up her video by saying ; "Well hi ya'll" !!

I do love South Carolina. Maybe next year we can venture outside of Richmond. There is a lot more to talk about in good ol RVA!

@@LIVINGINRICHMOND Did you say " good ol RVA" ?? 😆 😆..."Why I do declare Miss Scarlett, it appears that Miss Erin has slipped on her Southern Belle dress for the evening...and while I do adore her whit & charm, along with her noble attempt to shower southern flair all over good ol RVA, you and I both know, Miss Scarlett, that the only way for RVA to rid herself of this dreadful Northern influence is for the DC ( District of Columbia ) to relocate to California where it belongs! "

@@ncbbq1I'm from Richmond area and I don't know what you mean by "northern influence". DC is up in DC and we intend to keep it that way. I never go up there for any reason.

I like your channel and your energy. i didn't mean to be rude! On my comments on the other video, I really used to LOVE Richmond. 10 years ago it was a beautiful city with Southern charm and sophistication, lots of great restaurants, and relatively low crime. But since the city went "woke" a few years ago, it really is another world and I can't wait to leave. Politically correct or not, people came here for our history as the Capital of the Confederacy and the Confederate monuments on Monument Ave drew visitors from all over the world. With that gone, there are really no perks of living here , and taxes are going up, too many northern influx , and just rudeness all around. I feel VA Beach is where it's at or Roanoke. I'm sadly no longer happy to live here and can't wait to move.

Not rude at all. We’ve visited a handful of cities in the past year and they’ve all been nicer than Richmond. Well, the parts we visited, at least.

Strongly looking into moving there. Currently in colorado and looking for a calmer city that has a small town vibe with a city feel. Sadly, with the west drying up and the mass migration of Californians, things have gone downhill fast. Please let me know how I can contact you. Love your input and we plan to move in 2023. thank you.

So we are going to be moving out there from CA. Are there indoor parks? I have crazy energetic twins that are asking. That’s their favorite thing to do. Would love your input!

Depends on what you’re looking for. We have trampoline parks, inflatable bounce, water parks, the children’s museum, soccer, b-ball, romp n roll, laser tag, go carts. Many choices!

Thanks for your comment! The good news ? Richmond offers several suburbs with room to grow and expand.
