Yeah, he's a giggling clown that can cause trouble in the courtroom if you don't handle things properly, but when you take a step back and look at things, he's actually one of the most-mature, most-helpful characters exclusive to the circus case.

How about the dummy clown from Resident Evil 7? He looks like a dried out corpse, you have to put him back together again, and his smile is nothing short of extremely disturbing. Then, you wind him up, he suddenly grabs your arm and writes "LOSER" on it. Not just insanely creepy but a massive jerk as well.

Lucas had trapped Ethan, and previously Clancy, in a escape/torture room that would right into a SAW movie. If it weren't for Clancy's footage Ethan would have never outsmarted Lucas and escaped.

Fun fact: the "clown music" that Jane was singing at the end there is actually called "Entry of the Gladiators" (by Julius Fucik, and be very careful how you spell that!) These days it's so thoroughly associated with clowns in absolutely everybody's brain that a less likely title is hard to imagine.

Adam was a tragic story. He actually saw the zombies descend on the crowd he was entertaining. A crowd mostly made up of children. He's afraid of the zombies, and is being driven by the paranoia and fear them being one floor down constantly is causing. Should have been a case of if you could get the mall employee off the ride, start it back up, and start to leave during his fight he can calm down.

In Cyberpunk there’s a clown named Ozob Bozo who, in a setting where you can cybernetically enhance any part of your body to perform crazy superhuman feats, replaced his human nose with a a big, red, live grenade. If you do the boxing quest lines, you eventually can meet him in the ring and… well you know where to punch.

Originally they were going to have it be the the same hand for everyone but then when they realized they'd picked the wrong hand... so they had to make a new Mori... but since that still takes time to do, they decided to differ them by gender to not have to throw away their hard work, nor make it literally only Ash gets a different one.

Well Andy, there is at least 1 seemingly nice clown in videogames, the one from Hitman Bloodmoney. He's just doing his job, unless you interrupt it to take his outfit, then 47 as a clown kind of becomes worthy of this list. In Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion Dollhouse DLC there is a creature called The Clown who was summoned from hell to entertain the various spirits trapped in the bodies of dolls. They all hated it so it was locked in a cage, which through gameplay proceeds to break out and antagonise you.

Fun fact, in Monster Prom there's a plotline where a character ends up in conflict with the local clown mafia, implying that clowns are indeed a species of monster and that clowning is genetic. There's also an episode of RL Stine's the Haunting Hour in which a boy reaches puberty and then finds out he's a clown. Truly, clowns are the supernatural species we need to be aware of.

You could potentially put Piedmon in this list. It's a clown themed Digimon and is pretty much directly responsible for the birth of the final bosses for the Wrath and Harmony routes (the two worst endings) of Digimon Survive.
