Japanese submarine slammed two torpedoes into our side it was comin' back from the island of Tinian, just delivered the bomb. 1100 men went into the water. Vessel went down in 12 minutes. Didn't see the first shark for about a half an hour. Tiger, 13 footer. You know how you know that when you're in the water? You tell by lookin' from the dorsal to the tail. What we didn't know...was our bomb mission had been so secret, no distress signal had been sent. They didn't even list us overdue for a week. Very first light the sharks come cruisin'. So we formed ourselves into tight groups and the idea was, the shark comes to the nearest man and that man, he'd start poundin' and hollerin' and screamin' and sometimes the shark would go away. Sometimes he wouldn't go away. Sometimes that shark, he looks right into you. Right into your eyes. You know the thing about a shark, he's got...lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eye. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be livin'. Until he bites ya and those black eyes roll over white. And then, ah then you hear that terrible high pitch screamin' and the ocean turns red and spite of all the poundin' and the hollerin' they all come in and rip you to pieces. Y'know by the end of that first dawn, lost a hundred men! I don't know how many sharks, maybe a thousand! I don't know how many men, they averaged six an hour. On Thursday mornin' I bumped into a friend of mine, Herbie Robinson from Cleveland, baseball player. I thought he was asleep, reached over to wake him up. Bobbed up and down in the water, just like a kinda top. Up ended. He'd been bitten in half below the waist. Noon the fifth day a Lockheed Ventura saw us and come in low and 3 hours later a big fat PBY comes down and start to pick us up. You know that was the time I was most frightened? Waitin' for my turn. I'll never put on a lifejacket again. So, 1100 went in the water, 316 men come out, the sharks took the rest, June the 29th, 1945. Anyway....we delivered the bomb.

@@yaasmiinn Inchon, Korea 1950. I was the best cook Uncle Sam ever saw, slinging hash for the Fighting 103rd. As we marched north, our supply lines were getting thin. One day a couple of GIs found a crate, inside were six hundred pounds of prime Texas steer. At least it once was prime. The Use date was three weeks past, but I was arrogant, I was brash, I thought if I used just the right spices, cooked it long enough...I went too far. I over seasoned it. Men were keeling over all around me. I can still hear the retching, the screaming. I sent sixteen of my own men to the latrines that night. They were just boys. Bobby Colby all that kid wanted to do was go home. Well he went home alright, with a crater in his colon the size of a cutlet. Had to sit him on a cork the eighteen-hour flight home! Anyway....we delivered the bomb and I'll never touch a spatula again!!

@@micktait8576 Finally someone that understands the intelligence of sharks!!!!! You are right on the money Mickey boy!!!! Its funny how people think sharks can't tell the difference between a human and a seal. Its a proven fact that sharks can tell the difference. Unfortunately there are many sharks out there with undiagnosed mental health issues which makes certain sharks lash out at humans. Some experts believe that sharks that attack humans on surf boards is due to the fact that some sharks hate humans pretending to be something their not..... Seals. Its for this reason sharks attack humans on surf boards. They believe they are teaching man kind a lesson and if they take out a limb or two in the process than that's on them. Its unfortunate that such an intelligent species does not possess limbs. If they had hands for example they could communicate more effectively through hand signals or create underwater cities/infrastructure. Here's hoping one day man kind can assist with this and genetically modify sharks with limbs and the ability to survive without water. I have no doubt in my mind that sharks will at some point be serving burgers at Mc Donald's and teaching our children to read and write within the educational system. Sharks truly are intelligent. Its unfortunate that these people swim away in fear when they see a 10mtr shark in the water. Did they stop and think about how their actions could have a negative impact on the sharks emotions. A vast majority of sharks experience high levels of social isolation and crave human attention. They want to feel loved and accepted yet people like Felipe Kennedy lash out with their racist remarks. History suggests that between 36 and 150 people were attacked/eaten by sharks in 1945 when a US military ship sunk due to a Japanese submarine. Excluding the many eye witnesses there is no other evidence to suggest that it was in fact sharks that attacked and murdered these people. My heart go's out to them. So many husbands, fathers, mothers, brothers etc will never see their loved ones again. Was it sharks thoe????? I put my money on the dolphins!!!! I think its the dolphins that killed them.

It’s not true that the Shark that bumped the guy in the head didn’t intend on preparing for Lunch. They do that …. Come to the surface and scrape or bump their target with their bodies to see and feel if it’s alive and edible. Their Target doesn’t necessarily have to be alive but they check it out first, then go down and come up from below , knowing now exactly where their prey is located . People have felt that bump…..it feels like Sandpaper rubbing against them . They need to move quickly in any direction to get away from where the Shark located them. The Shark swims in a straight line, extremely fast coming from below in most attacks. It doesn’t change course from where it zoned in on the prey. You have seconds to move. Even moving 3 or 4 feet in any direction can save you from the initial Attack. In murky waters they do the bump to check the object out. In clear waters … it’s a whole different Ballgame. They are drawn to shiny objects… belt buckles , watches, contrasts in color as in where a Diving suit stops at the ankles or swim trunks at the waist . They can smell Blood miles away …which easily can attract other Sharks in the Vicinity. If you are in a group of Swimmers they will pick out a straggler , one who is alone ,away from the group. They are not stupid. They think their Attacks out. They have been known to attack in 3 feet of water and even beach themselves biting onto to someone and dragging them back out to Sea. In one incident a small child was attacked in shallow water. The Shark beached itself and was trying to move backwards with the squirming child’s limb in its’ jaws . It wouldn’t let go . Onlookers had to eventually cut its’ head off to get the Shark’s Jaws to release the child. An attack is usually not painful. The Victim goes into shock quickly , losing massive amounts of Blood and their bite feels like a strong tug when they are taking a limb off. BTW… They are always looking for food. They don’t do the “Bumps“ as a friendly “ Hi, how are you doing“? …. “Let’s play”.

LMAO you don't don't have clue what your talking about. watch this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/baHNk3trhNp1mZY a small shark bite can do INSANE DAMAGE, the shark took his entire calf off in seconds. Imagine being clamped onto by a multiple saws (rows of teeth) and 100+ lbs weight ( a small shark) that shakes LoooL... they can saw a 4 foot tarpon to pieces in with a single head shake

The shark that got into the shark cage was in no way trying to attack those people. As most sharks would be, he was curious so he got up close to the cage but since sharks don’t have the ability to swim backwards the sharks only option was to swim forward, into the cage.
