I'm a 24 year old player currently playing in the 8th tier of my country's league system, my best is 6th tier and I'm pretty proud of that. It has dawned on me that I'm not probably making it big in my life time, but I still love football and love honing my skill. I've adopted the mindset that I don't have to be the best in the world, the next Messi, Ronaldinho or CR7, I just need to work on being the best where I'm at. If I'm the top scorer of my league, have the most assists in my team, play smart - that's what truly matters. Set attainable goals for yourself and your game will improve and you'll feel great about yourself too!
@NoahCaraker7 Жыл бұрын
thanks man I needed this I worried about being the best on my team a lot but now what really matters to me is adapting my skills and strengths to be the best player I can be even if I'm not the best on my team that's good because I can learn from the better people! I don't need to worry about being the top goal scorer. or flashy winger it's all about how I PERFORM

This is the stuff that actually makes a good footballer. The other night before we started our game we were in a circle playing keepy ups. One player could to around the worlds, toe bounces etc. Come game time all he did was head down and run into a dead end with the ball every time, every pass he gave was bobby, not enough pace, not giving it into correct space. Forget any of your tricks and fancy skills. The game is about space, time and focus on the actual techniques that will make you a good effective player. These videos exemplify that. I'm 32 so I am what I am player wise but for any younger player thinking a 5 * skiller is the pinnacle of talent. No, being able to do things in one or two touches is the most lethal a player can be.

I was thinking the same thing. Surely most good footballers just do these things naturally and subconsciously because it's how to be a good footballer. Not that that means you can't work on them of course, I just doubt that any of the pros in the clips are thinking "have to receive the ball on my back foot now!"

I think the moving into space too early is such an underrated thing most people don't consider. Too many times, players will just sit in an open space and expect the ball rather than waiting for the passing lane to open.

Definitely the identifying space technique. I always find myself feeing a little lost when it comes to knowing where my teammates will place the final ball. When I run down the wing I tend to go too wide rather than go central to create a scoring opportunity.

Just play as much as you can. Preferably every day alone or with friends. Never give up and the biggest thing is to learn to read where the ball will go. Touch and ball control can be natural but at pace it always takes practice. Dont lose your cool because of what someone else does

Just need to refer to consistent uplift in results, across all the teams you join, the volume of complimentary referees, opponents, spectators that don't know each other, and not speaking because they want popularity, and the teams that cannot string 3 passes together or do anything coordinated that you train in correct footballing ways One of the things I realised recently is how easy football is relative to certain skills like in IT or engineering Nobody can handle my quality midfield play. I recall 1 ten year old who'd seen me play for hours mentioning that I always take the right decision. Listen to them honest kids

I would suggest for touch that a person should practice juggling, when you get decent... Like doing a hundred without dropping the ball... Then move to shooting the ball very high up in the air and controlling without letting it bounce off your foot on the way down... Great way of improving your touch

Simpel football is the best football and it can replicated all the time. Where as a complicated start takes more knowledge and skill and still for skilled it might not work half the time. 1-2 is something you can do every time, and stop the dribbling is not needed just pass the ball fast and run. And your opponent mostly likely loses.
