What's keeping us from being rich is the lack of belief we all have in our mind. One must believe that he/she can do so and take actions to achieve your goal. Hi guys! It's me again. You might have seen me before but my desire to inspire more people is what keeps me pushing to reach out more. We own a cookie shop business in our college town. When we first started it, we just graduated college and were living in our car with very little direction, just a huge passion to be successful. I started it out of a local bagel shop in their off hours at night with my boyfriend, Bran. It was a crazy experience but it worked! We became a success! And how we have our first storefront location in New Jersey and the second one in Florida! We started it to fund a year long backpacking trip around the world and to be successful while living the life of our dreams.

For the past 5 years I've been really focused on saving, and just got into investing this year. $6K/year in a 90% stock Roth IRA, $50/week in a 90% taxable account. I make $20,600/year and live on $9133.66/year. After expenses and Roth IRA contribution, that leaves about $105/week.

Don't save, you should invest. Also buying a house can and is usually one of the biggest mistakes people do to keep them poor. Don't buy a big house, buy one that is under your means so you have a place to live and still have enough money to invest and eventually you can move out and get rental income from it if you ever want to upgrade. People make the mistake of buying a nice house they like when starting out and it just costs so much in mortgage payments they never make it any farther and live paycheck to paycheck because of lifestyle creep or lifestyle inflation

I will definitely avoid these mistakes. Thanks!

What a lot of these videos doesn't mention is that it's okay to take a break every once in a while. You can't be reaching for wealth 24/7; you'll burn yourself out. @Corporal Spiro You should keep that money in that stock so it can grow, to buy more shares, or you can buy other stock in other companies to increase your portfolio. Buy DIVIDEND PAYING/growth stocks -- companies that pay dividends every quarter (4x/year). Whether the stock price goes up or down, you still get dividends. Don't spend that extra money, invest it.
@mayanlogos922 жыл бұрын
Don't focus too much on saving, but save, treat yourself first, invest, forget about the paycheck being the only way, step out of your comfort zone... what I forgot? Oh don't overspend, spend money on things you actually need, not on trivial things, like from the pleasure of buying stuff which hopefully I'll never understand, neither if I'll be financial independent ALSO: don't try much to look rich, especially if your profit is still quite modest

You can become wealthy from a 9-5 and frugality pretty easily actually, so long as it is a middle class paycheck. You just have to be willing to break the accepted norm. Society expects you to waste your money buying things you don't want to impress people you don't like. Instead, take a few years to live like a minimalist. Save 50% to 75% of your paycheck. DESTROY your debts, and you can have the same lifestyle for less money spent. Invest your first $100,000, which is always the biggest hurdle. After that, you can coast.

If you are debt-free, have a job you enjoy, have money in the bank, don't struggle to pay your bills, and can enjoy treating yourself from time to time, I call that a success. I've noticed that just about every video paints being rich as the ideal. However, I've seen how the rich live and most of them work insane hours, are never home, and only get to relax 4 weeks out of the year when they take vacation. Jeff Bezos may be rich, but he and his wife of 25 years got a divorce last year. I'm guessing it's because he was never home and they grew apart. I'll take a comfortable lifestyle where I don't have financial worries and still have time to enjoy my life while I'm young, thanks.
