You may already know that iPhones can get viruses when they’re jailbroken. When you jailbreak an iPhone, all the safeguards built in by Apple are removed. However, there are several other ways iPhones can get a virus.
It’s possible for your iPhone to become infected when you use a public charging station, as you never know who is on the other end of the cable, or what they’ll do if you tap “Trust This Device”.
Third-party app stores, configuration profiles, and links on sketchy websites can also give your iPhone a virus.
There are several signs your iPhone may have a virus. There may be an app you didn’t install. If you find one, delete it immediately.
Your iPhone might get very hot, die faster, or use more data than normal. Just keep in mind these could also be a sign of a software problem.
People often mistake spam for a virus. If you see a pop-up on your iPhone saying something like “virus detected on iPhone,” your iPhone doesn’t actually have a virus. It’s a spam message designed to scare you into giving up your personal information. If you see a message like this in a web browser, it’s a good idea to clear the browser’s history and website data.
Another common tactic is known as “calendar spam”. A scammer will attempt to subscribe you to a calendar. If you see spam calendars on your iPhone, delete them immediately.

If a charging station says “trust this device”, unplug it immediately! This only happens when you connect an iPhone to another device (i.e. a computer, or a computer peripheral) that is going to access your data. Apple put that in to ensure that you trust the device that you’re connecting your iPhone to with your data. Something that is charge only will NOT ask you to trust this device, because it’s not accessing your data, only charging the battery.

True, but data still goes through the cable. That goes both ways. All they have to do is load a virus onto the computer that will effect your phone. It’s called juicejacking and it’s not a prevalent issue but we can stop it from becoming a prevalent issue.

you dont know how relieving this is to me because today my friend got a virus on her computer and it just kept on getting pop ups. i got worried and i thought omg what if i have a virus on my iphone (which sounds dumb ik). and especially near the start of the year, i was dealing with so much worry and stress for days and weeks because i was always concerned about my Iphone having a virus. i went through all the things on this video and the only thing that seemed off, was that my phone getting really hot. so hot that it would almost be hotter than a hand warmer. They are most likely in the beta program, meaning that they test out the newest versions of iOS and give feedback to Apple with any issues that arise. I would not suggest that you do the beta program on your main device, because the beta versions have a lot of bugs that can crash your phone or cause you to lose your data.
