Well, I happen to enjoy their witty banter. It’s like verbal improv.

You have timeeee man
@zekielrodriguez52292 ай бұрын
Everyone always says “you have time” and you do man, but no one says what to do with that time, and it can be really challenging to figure all that out and feel like the time is ticking. So if you still feel this way, I recommend a few things. Do some traveling, if you have the resources. if you can siphon some money from family and say “It’s recommended for a good first step out of high school, and I feel like I’ve earned it after completing high school”. If you can’t, then save up some money from working and go somewhere affordable. Why? It gets you out of your comfort zone, and also feels rewarding from giving all those years to american education. You get to have fun and learn a few new things while you’re at it, it helps expand your mind and realize there’s a whole world to experience out there beyond what you’ve been taught in the bubble you just spent 18+ years in. Go to community college, you’ll be offered a variety of things to try out. Find one that’s accessible that has a music program too if that’s what you want to do. People talk all kinds of trash about college. But community college is different, it’s more affordable and there are resources to make it more so. Plenty of people work part time minimum wage and afford themselves to take college classes. This gives you the opportunity to try a host of new things, and search for authentic mentorship in your life. You can also meet music teachers who can take you from the space of youtube where you see something new every second, and they can get you focused on a few things at once and help you with the practical part of your music journey. Spend a few YEARS here if you need to. There’s no rush. You would learn a whole lot about yourself and not be saddled with tons of debt, and you can build up credibility and scholarships if you want to go extend your education. Meditate!!!!!! Everyday!!!!! As we get older, we forget to be mindful of the present moment, and our brain begins to develop mindless habits that happen outside of our control. Especially with all the addictive technology we’re surrounded. Spend a few minutes focused on your breath and senses rather than thinking. It will feel great and you’ll have more control over your actions and state of mind. Make some new friends and be social, but be with the right people! Not people who all you do is drink. But people you can have a good time with, and people that respect your space and emotional energy. I used to think that friends were a distraction. False, the WRONG friends are a distraction. Having friends & meaningful connection is a fundamental need for EVERYBODY. Learn to balance this and your work. Eat healthy food and minimize alcohol/drug use! This was hard for me! But once you meditate and find mental stability, you will realize you don’t need unhealthy food and substances to make you happy, in fact it’s the opposite. Your brain is just lying to you. When you find yourself craving, just calm yourself for a minute and sit with the feeling. It will go away. Be patient with yourself! You may want more than anything to be who you want to be. But it’s just like climbing a mountain. You have to take the first steps. Don’t hate where you’re at. Embrace it.

Should you change the blues scale as you change the chord sometimes or always keep it the same?
@ashton11723 жыл бұрын
in his article he says that “Lots of folks use a different blues scale for every chord, but that sounds whack, so please avoid that!” so i guess do what sounds not whack to you.
