Just bought my 1st 7 string and will definitely be learning some of these riffs. Also didn’t know Nickleback used one at any point.

You could have chugged that korn song on the end to really demonstrate the true power of the 7 string

This guy just actually explained why they call 7 string guitars 7 string guitars. In a video for 7 string guitarists.
@LeighFugeGuitar Жыл бұрын
Yup! That's because the whole point of the video is educational, not everyone that watches it will automatically know everything about 7 strings... some people may be curious about what you can do with one

does anybody know which is the maximum string gauge that fits the lowest tuning post please ?
@LeighFugeGuitar3 ай бұрын
I’m not sure if the exact gauge; but I think from the factory this comes with something like a 58-60 on the low B (I think it has the gauges on the Schecter website) You could probably go to something like a 70 without needing to modify. They were standard tuners so whatever you can fit through a regular tuner you can fit through these

Surprisingly, the Nickleback and Bonamassa riffs were the best ones. Ive been mostly on a rock/blues/jazz vibe ever since switching to 7, so this is right up my alley

I think using 7 strings in bluesy rock is definitely an unexplored territory at this point in time! It would be cool to see more bands doing that.

Are you telling me I'm not versed on a six string? Or assuming because I mentioned that I'm new to 7 string?

The jackson js 22 7 is $199.00 and the absolute best starter for new 7 string players
@LeighFugeGuitar6 ай бұрын
They are meant to be great guitars! I haven't tried one of those yet but I've heard lots of positive things
@Whowhatwhere996 ай бұрын
@LeighFugeGuitar the only thing I didn't like about it is the tuning keys aren't the greatest but that's an easy fix. For me, I just wanted one to check out to see if I liked it, something different than all my 6 strings. For $199 if you don't like it, ur not put a shitload of money
@LysisZero5 ай бұрын
I have one and 6 other guitars on the rack next to it.. it is a decent beginner guitar. Switch from a 6 string bc rich beast with daddaro pickups to the 7 string and the 7 string sounds flat and if in drop tuning the sound blends to much. Weight wise it is a feather compared to my les Paul but more around that of my telecaster.
@killahasbigrpk87114 ай бұрын
either that or the Ibanez GRG7221, I think it's a bit more expensive but it's also a great choice if you prefer ibanez
@kellygoins63763 ай бұрын
@killahasbigrpk8711 i just got one and man the neck relief, intonation and action was all set up right out of the box. The quality was shocking. If they took the gio label off i would have easily paid $700 for that guitar

I'm planning to get the multiscale version of this soon, I actually have the Floyed Rose version of the 6 string variant, but due to the bridge being the cheapest model (FR Special) and it's given me loads of trouble, just the bridge I'm selling it, the guitar itself is flawless though.

Great video. Coming from an old youtuber, the dream is that 80% of your views are from NON subs. That means you're reaching new viewers. When that happens, the growth is more rapid. When 80% of viewers are returning viewers, you won't be growing as quickly. Keep up the great vids
@LeighFugeGuitar7 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for checking it out! Glad you enjoyed. At the moment my channel is hitting about 90%+ non subbed viewers on videos on average, but the tricky thing is, a lot of people judge growth by sub count so it's converting views to returning views AND attracting new views all the while... it's a tricky old process that we can only keeping working at :)
