Great video! Working on "Flam Accent Fantasy" out of one Charlie Wilcoxon's books. Struggling to get the 7 stroke roll clean at dotted quarter note = 100 bpm. I've been trying to pronounce each stroke (rudimental interpretation) versus buzzing them. I'll try your approach!

@@Odthean in that, the buzzes would be in 16th notes, probably "e & ah 1"

The above the line and below the line notation is just weird to me because I have always played with stickings written under the notes. I wonder if our system would be weird to Scottish drummers? Anyone know?

"Weird" just means you haven't done it before.
