I totally agree on the flavor of home grown food. Garden tomatoes are so much better tasting than any grocery store variety could ever be

Hi Ebuka, great content, keep it coming. The Cuban oregano is called big thyme in Grenada, used to season meat, fish etc.

Oh yes it goes by different names ! Thanks for watching 🥰

Echinacea is another great plant which is the coneflower. Growing up my Aunt used this all the time for colds.

I’ll google that and see if it’s something I can grow here too 🤗

Thank you Ebuka nice video I live in Barbados and we have all those plants growing here. My lucky bamboo is in my bathroom and doing well. Cuban oregano here we call it broad leaf thyme and we use it in a lot of our dishes to season them. It actually grows from a leaf also and is family to coleus. The aloe vera can be blended with orange juice and add some honey and drink it.. thank you for sharing.

I would be very careful about eating fresh aloe vera direct from the plant, it is a very strong laxative and can make you vomit as well. The aloe juice sold in stores should be made so it doesn't have the laxative part of the aloe.

I love the honey and juice idea ! Will definitely try it ! I found out that the oregano was a type of coleus and I was so shocked! It’s definitely my favorite type of coleus for sure 🤭🤭

I eat alovera all the time. It’s very very bitter so I pop a candy in my mouth right after. Or I mix it with honey. It takes a bit of getting used to but I’ve been eating it since I was a kid 👍🏾
@TheMillennialPlantDad12 күн бұрын
Oh the honey hack makes sense! Do you eat with the leave or just the gel ?
@ericab93612 күн бұрын
@@TheMillennialPlantDad Only the gel. It works if I have a stomach ache. It also helps to grow your hair. That plant is a miracle worker.

Hi Ebuka😌🙌Yes, I must have a lucky bamboo now, and the recycling of plants is a great idea to grow your own👏💞I don't have Aloe vera, however I do have an Aloe maculata that I think is good for burns and irritation. It's a really huge plant with many babies and does get a bit frost bite in Winter, but totally recovers nicely by Summer. I enjoyed watching very much Ebuka😃👏💞

Loved this video! I have grown Cuban Oregano for years but always thought it was an ornamental plant. Little did I know! Thank you! It's such an easy pla t and it propagated in water so easily. I love the smell! ❤

I have many varieties of snake plant and an enormous aloe plant🪴 though I've never used it medicinally. I have used store bought aloe gel for sunburn for years before my plant journey. I've had onions🧄 sprout before I've had time to cook them😂. Love your content. Keep the videos coming 💋
@TheMillennialPlantDad13 күн бұрын
Oh please harvest your aloe ! Those store bought ones aren’t the real deal and certainly plant those onion sprouts, they are free spring onions 🧅 waiting to be harvested. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed 🥰

Only use aloe on mild burns, please don't apply to full thickness burns!!
@TheMillennialPlantDad13 күн бұрын
Yes you are absolutely correct! I did mention in the video that they work for first degree burns and to not apply in open wounds 😀
