However, this video is another example of self entitled Babylonians trying to take a culture that isn't theirs, analyze it, and give back to the masses their interpretation. It is not even called the Rasta flag, it is the previous flag of Ethiopia. The green for the land, the gold for the people, the red for the blood that ties us together. (The current flag has the same colors with a blue star) Rastafarian was based on Marcus Garvey saying to look towards Africa for the crowning of a new black king. At the time, Ethiopia was the only nation in Africa that was not colonized. After the world wars, other African countries looked towards Ethiopia in gaining independence, hence the reason why many African countries have the Green Gold and Red in their flags. Yes, we are naturally peaceful people, but it is disrespectful to the culture for someone from outside of the culture to explain the culture. I commend every on here for their interest and research, but if you want to know what Rastafari is, study Ras Tafari. Study Marcus Garvey.
