this is the part that trips me up. direct to consumer presentation? like, the one thing that films (in theaters) do is control the environment of the presentation. imo, this switch is (although initially less expensive to the consumer) VERY impractical for the directors/producers. i see films dramatically losing quality (much like the music industry) because of the distribution model changing. at the same time, i just don't see the film industry existing much longer anyway. it's obvious that all films are methods for brainwashing youth
