Been in Russia for 18 years. I love this place but there are some things which annoy me 1) The dust. Russia doesn't have litter or graffiti everywhere. But the dust is insane. 2) Russians often complain about corruption and getting shafted by others. But most Russians never read instructions or contracts thus allowing themselves to get done over 3) From the last point. Russians have many rights but will never bother finding out about them. If they do, they ask a friend or relative. 4) The work ethic could be more efficient 5) Many Russians are amazing people, highly educated. But many over 30 are very immature when it comes to responsibility and accountability. 6) The winter can be a pain in the arse. Especially that time like now when the snow melts and everywhere is filthy for a couple of weeks. Apart from that, i could list a million things that make Russia the best place to be. And in my 18 years, this country has changed so much in the right direction.

Instructions are for robots and not for Russians. Regarding work: this country still keeps some remnants of socialism, equal distribution of wealth, and this type of ideas. There are many proverbs: "the work is not wolf, it won't run to the forest", "the most of work at kolkhoz was done by horse but it never managed to become director", etc. The work probably could be more effective, but again, effective for who - company directors, company owners or .... I have lived in few countries, including China and I may say they seem to be very effective in their overseas image but not always it is reality, and their labor terms are awful compared to Russia, 5 days vacation after 2nd year of employment.. 5... it sounds like humiliation. 2 weeks of vacation in the US also doesnt seem to feel like a paradise. I feel sorry for Russians moving to the US, they don't get its different attitude, someone can be fired at 1 moment in the US corporate world. Russia will never become 2nd West in terms of work efficiency, but as a Russian I justify such behavior. Dust is awful, its soil composition, nothing can be done about and it is truly annoying. 15 years ago we saw many Europeans in Moscow as a corporate directors and management level. Well, some were nice, but some behaved as if they were governors of the colony. Maybe due to the stress of dealing with Russian employees, however Im happy all of them are out of the country )))) for next 20 years ) thats also a thing, I've noticed that after coming back, the national pride overhere is on a very high level. I'm not saying its good or bad, just saying ....

Here in South America, people are as brainwashed as your friends and relatives in the UK. People know nothing about Russia, China, Iran, etc, and they believe all sorts of crazy stuff. For intance, last week my father said Russia is governed by the Communists. When I tried to explain that Putin is no Communist but a centrist politician, and that the Communist Party is relatively small, he just didn't believe me. A few days ago, my 16-year-old nephew told his parents that he is tired of learning French and would like to learn Russian instead. The family was in shock!!!

"and that the Communist Party is relatively small, he just didn't believe me" Tell him the simple truth, that the Russian communist party is the main opposition in Russia. While Putin, he's basically Tager Erlander and the Swedish Social democrats of the 1960s. Which i really wish we could have back. While the Russian communists are nowhere near Soviet era communists. "Here in South America, people are as brainwashed as your friends and relatives in the UK." Latin America is still vastly less indoctrinated. @@user-sw7ov6ne1f Sorry let me explain better. White people that don't go outside a lot have low vitamin if they don't go outside. Since white people are light skin we are able to absorb vitamin D very fast even if its just our face exposed to the sun light. Also you can get vitamin D from the foods you eat also. So if you get a good amount of vitamin D from foods your all set. If you are from the North your blood will be thicker and will have to thin out before you can get use to the area. A lot of people have this issue that live in America that are from Boston or New York and move to Florida. My sister was in Florida for ten years and even at high 70's or 80 degrees she would not put on the air conditioner. My parents went down to Florida and said its too hot down there. One of my friends said it can take a year or two just so your blood to thin out and get use to the heat.

I think the major issue here Sam is 'integration' . From watching your videos I can see you have integrated into the Russian way of life and have learnt the language, People are people no matter where you are and some of them can be condescending to incomers of course. At least where you are the differences between the British and Russian ordinary everyday people are minimal. Politicians and propaganda spoil everything. I haven't watched TV for over 14 years nor listened to BBC radio broadcasts and I'm a lot more open minded and content than I used to be. I do however know exactly what's going on around the globe and I know the history of Russia's present conflict issues of which I've attempted to pass on to the uninformed ( with little positive results). If I was 20 years younger, I'd be joining you out there believe me.

NFKRZ decided to leave Russia when it became difficult to receive youtube money without paying a huge commission due to sanctions. It’s sanctions which affected them both. I completely understand that you are brainwashed into thinking that Russia is a place where you can’t say anything that goes against the agenda. Telling the truth is so important. Speaking of those people you mention closer to the end of this video - not all of us Russians are like that!😅 Also, trust me, these people don't intend to be mean or something. They just want to impress you in such a somewhat odd manner. Don't hesitate and challenge them in return - you can just say hey, let's see who's better at banya/shashlik here mate! Thing is, we love a good competition and a good laugh, and as soon as you turn it all into a bit of fun, you are guaranteed to make some new friends. Afterwards, you'll probably see those people's better sides, too😉 Vladimir looks so cozy and nice. I've only been there once, in winter, and there was so much snow! It doesn't matter what language he speaks. In Russia, it does not matter much, knowledge of the Russian language is necessary in order to make life more comfortable. But if a person is comfortable without knowing Russian, this is his own business. Something I want to add here. I grew up in the 1960's and graduated high school in 1981. During all that time most of us were worried about the possibility of nuclear war. After graduating I got a job and had other things to worry about but the cold war was always with me. Today I found a channel with US military films called Nuclear Vault. I saw a B-52 bomber drop an actual H-bomb in one of the early 60's tests and Minuteman ICBM's taking off in unarmed test flights. Those images brought back the old fears very quickly. I pray we do not see those things for real.

My two cents. The videos from Russia are always talking about sanctions and the impact of sanctions. Personally, as an American, I can get that via Google and looking at the issues Russia faces with it's 2024 Budget, Decline of Gold Reserves, troubles with Oil sales and production, flat health care and education budgets, etc. Also, being in Russia yourself, you are never going to cover that 100% because your focus is in other areas. The KZbin videos from Russia in the supermarkets done by others are really patronizing to me personally and presume I am stupid. So avoid those, I have an Economics minor. What I want to see more as an American is Russian Apartments, Transit Systems, life in Russia. You can drop the politics as well, I can get that via the media or one on one contact with Russians living in Russia (easy to do via the internet). So that is my two cents on this topic.

I agree a lot of people in my country are brainwashed when it comes to Russia. Im not 1 of those people, having said that i think it works both ways a lot of Russians will be brainwashed about the west its not all 1 sided. Having travelled myself i have come to learn people will be people no matter what country your from or living in there's good and bad everywhere. Good video sam thanks for sharing 👍
