The bad news is that you’re on your own and the bad news is that everybody around you has something to say about what you’re doing wrong. To that I say: There is no path, so walk wherever you feel like going and improve on things YOU feel you should improve on.

I'm turning 20 in just over 8 months, and this video really helped. Starting this year, I'm prioritising my health and working out, my passion for music and the trombone (I'm applying for a year in the military band) and my growing passion for fashion and political science (the latter of which i would like to make a career in). Thanks for the video, Tim! I'm certain this won't be the last time I watch it

Been following you since I was in college and I especially agree that not caring about what others think is top 1 on my list that I regret. I enjoy life a lot better now that I am true to myself. I am in my mid 20s and married with child. A lot of responsibilities on my end but still managing to take A LOT OF RISKS. Things have been working out pretty good lately but I'm not stopping here and will do more not only for myself this time but for my family as well.

I was laid off and had plenty of bills to pay and I didn't know what to do. I was desperate to find a source of income. After getting laid off I invested the money I saved over the years and created a small business (keep in my mind that I had mouths to feed as I am a breadwinner). I, of course, found a better job with better pay. The small business has been readying me and my wife to open a new business. I had a lot of help along the way but it has changed the way my mind works. I don't want to get in deep with it but I hope this will help you. I'm still trying to build a better life so I can only speak for my experience.

I just graduated as an electrical engineer at the age of 22. I’m very into fashion and am gonna build a brand called asad alex (based off of my Arabic and American name). My goal is to flip the world upside down and change it for the better. I’ve noticed that everything seems to have become so degenerate and over the past few years I have become more religious and changed my ways. This video is proof that I will accomplish my goals and so everyone that sees this comment I want you to know that I will achieve my goals inshallah and you can achieve whatever you want in this world if you put in the work and dream big enough.

A lot of creators will make videos about this kind of 20s life advice stuff, but this is probably one of the best distillations of it that I’ve seen. I think there is a huge level of "survivor bias" here. The vast vast majority of people who try to quit a 9-5 job to follow a dream of freedom (such as a content creator) do not succeed. It is a combination of skill, luck and privilege.

I’m worried with the numerous bank failures as of late, am I better off reinvesting my savings in the stock market or do I wait?

Exactly what I’m doing again this week. The smartest thing I’ve ever done was having 30% in cash to buy on the way down in 2021. It hurt watching 30-40% discounts drop to 50, but grabbing Google, NVDIA, Apple, and others near the bottom has paid off

When I was younger, I came to believe that figuring out what you don’t like is easier that figuring out what you like. To get to a point where you actually like what you do, I think you need to keep trying different things. I’m my case, after trying different jobs, I eventually ended up learning new skills online that I now use professionally. I don’t use my degree at all. The main idea though is that a lack of action won’t change your situation.
@williamjeffs740410 ай бұрын

Your 20s is basically the same as your teen years. It's a formative time in your life. Learning about yourself. Figuring out what you value. Planting seeds for your future. The only difference is you have a bit more money and freedom compared to your teen years. Your 30s is when you actually begin that "stability" period in your life. Your 20s is for the most part an experimental period.
@Mloofylicious10 ай бұрын
Never followed the crowd. However in order to survive & flourish in such an environment you need to be able to sacrifice many things. They're cruel to whoever they can't blackmail into obedience. That's why powerful political leaders always focus on a room full of sheep that need a shepherd. In order to protect yourself from the flock, you may be heading towards loneliness and poverty because only those who don't have anything get to keep everything worth having.

I still struggle alot with Point 5, Nobody cares - because all my life they did care. I was the fat Kid back then in school, got bullied pretty much my entire school life. Even after school in the first two companys i worked at (which had ALOT of toxic coworkers) it continued. Now i'll be 33 in March. I still struggle with it, even though i lost most of my weight (almost 90 Pounds, i'm very close to a healthy weight now), take more care of myself and got a bit into fashion. But my past really did hurt me in this aspect. It will be really hard to get over it, if i'm even able to get over it. If somebody still goes through something like me: It will get better, if you start working on yourself. It's freaking hard but will be worth it. But some things may not change - like the way you handle specific situations. For me, it's realizing that nobody now cares how i look/what i do.
@BirdManJones10 ай бұрын
I think for the point about nobody cares i think its a matter of "yes and no" like on a spectrum because its naunced? Sometimes I've had people point of things with my fits to give their opinion (good or bad) or notice patterns or whatever. But I think a better way to go by this is reflecting to yourself whether you should care about others opinions so deeply. I would prioritize cultivating your own self esteem by validating yourself. Just my 2 cents. Other than that, great video!
