That’s how I love to play, I love drinking with my buddies in a moonshine shack and messing around. My favorite thing to do is going shopping and creating nice outfits for my character lol, I start to “grind” when I need a couple or bucks but other than that, I appreciate the hell out of this world

Same. Haven’t even touched the main missions. Just like to explore, hunt, do nature photography, collect things before collectibles were a thing, lol. There’s a lot to do and see. The details are so fun. Recently been running into some cool trees. There is one just south of the heartlands with bottles that sway in the breeze. You can use those are the ones on the ground for target practice; although, it’s a wonderful reference to bottle trees. There is also a huge live oak east of braithwait. Reminds me of Angel Oak. Haven’t tried to climb it yet. Might do that tonight. ✌️

I love seeing players like you appreciate the world instead of killing each other or grinding for max roles, I can’t help but admire the world and just ride around and explore every nook and cranny this game has to offer. Tbh one of my favorite things to do in this game is to be in the snowy mountains or in the forest and just walk around and appreciate the wildlife. Covid makes it hard for me and others to go outside and go to a park or trail so being able to enjoy it in red dead is something incredible

I wish there would be sessions devoted to role playing so that in the case of being hunted by bounties, the player comes up calmly to where you are and utters something like "I'm taking you in". As someone who recently started playing RDO again this is the type of content i enjoy. I used to be one of the grinders who tried to minmax every roll and squeeze out every dollar or chuck of gold i could get. This way of playing is way more immersive and has really groqn on me. All i need are some friends who are willing to slow down a bit and RP. Keep up the high quality content! I subbed on both my accounts.

I’m so glad that other people play like this, I’ve been roleplaying with my character ever since I started out in RDO, I can’t stand players that just mash the X button to the next objective falling off their horse 5 times in the process lmao, have never griefed, sometimes when I come across another player I’ll make it interesting and ask if they can give me a ride to the closest town as my horse was “stolen”😂 Also, the last time I played, I was attacked by a griefer who then proceeded to hide in the top part of a saloon thinking I couldn’t kill him or something, so I went in the saloon and said, “come on now boah, come down from up there, have a whiskey with me and we’ll settle this like men” 😂 I had to throw some dynamite at him bc griefers don’t know how to have fun, but there’s always little things that you can in RDO to make the game feel more like a role paying game but majority of people don’t think like that💁‍♂️ They just grind like mindless zombies

This is exactly the way I play this game, and I am so happy to see that there are others as well. I love to just take out my binoculars, compare locations with the way they are on the map, look at the terrain and fully explore them. My son thinks that is completely boring, but I keep marveling at how much work Rockstar put into this game where the exploration feels so realistic. Oh yeah, and when I do get griefed, I am more than ready to kick ass.

Another thing I noticed you do too is that you take your time. I always take my time by walking instead of just running from A to B if the situation wouldn't require that! Same thing on horseback: if there is a chance to let my horse rest and take a walk through the wilderness I generally avoid running the fastest speed with simply no reasons. Let's say I use the "speed" anyone would use in real life given a certain situation: do I have to switch cover during a gunfight? Then I'll probably make a run for it. Do I have to visit the saloon to have a beer? Let's just take a walk, shall we? I know you have my very same approach judging by your video!
@ceofoxtrot
@ceofoxtrot 3 жыл бұрын
@Stefano I personally call everything that you mentioned... playing at “normal” speed. You would “never” see people running around like they do in the game, in real life. I play Red Dead Online like a “western virtual simulator” and I move the way I would as if I was really there in real life. That’s my secret. Great feedback! 😁👍🏼

My SO and I are new to RDO though we did see the story mode when it came out. Anyway, he has a lot more gold and money than I do right now because he's forever galloping around, has a new role, and in PVP events. My horses and I do a lot of trotting between places and hanging out off trails, and I'm often found nosing around in abandoned shacks and alleys, and I get what you're saying about looking at what could have been the story from what you can see laying around. I enjoy listening to the NPCs together, sometimes finding them sneaking out of town at night, and I know way more about what the AI animals can be up to out there than my SO who just hunts them (I do, too, but not in such a black and white fashion). I have a ton of scenery and odd things in my game pictures and lots of pictures of my horses with the places we find. ☺️

I realize this is the wrong area (State), but did you know that you could see Valentine from Horseshoe Overlook (the Van Der Linde Gang's hideout in Story Mode, Chapter 2)? Stand on the bare area near the edge of the cliff, just beyond the square-ish brown boulder, and the large gray boulder with several smaller gray boulders, and look north. The most prominent feature will be Citadel Rock, a bit to the left of that is the tallest tree, then a few smaller trees and a gap. In the gap, you can see the Valentine church tower. Then still going left. a few more trees which block the view of the train station and stockyards, then through a wide gap in the trees you can see three (maybe four) of the shops in Valentine). These are easiest seen with binoculars on the highest magnification, or a sniper rifle with a long-scope.

Absolutely love your play style. It’s the way I like to enjoy the game as well. Level 447 I totally enjoy taking my time and looking at all the details. When we were having a drought and there were no animals whatsoever in the game I took the time to follow the NPCs around. One of my favorite was Following the beggar that comes to the camp and askes for meat. I followed him a couple times for over 45 minutes. Just running along he’s like a marathon jogger at times. I’ve even seen him get hit by deer and elk knocked down get up and hold his shoulder like he was hurt. Another one that I have followed is the woman that ask you to help her after her horse was killed and needs a ride to the fire tower. Follow her up into the tower and she’s up there smoking a cigarette. Irritate her she’ll start walking down the tower and goes off to Valentine. I like to play in first person mode walking around Saint-Denis and other towns interacting with the Npcs in the bars all over the map. Sometimes it can be frightening if griefers are around. But you can usually hear them and other players coming from a mile away so then I know to turn my map on to protect myself. Thank you for the wonderful channel it’s so nice to see this kind of content rather than just grief and kill other players.. Just out of curiosity what are you playing on PS4 Xbox etc.?

I love this whole comment-thanks for taking the time 😊💕. (I followed an NPC once who had run away from town-players shooting up Rhodes. I followed him almost 35 minutes-and like you say, sometimes he would sprint pretty good, other times, 'hide' behind trees-it was funny. I thought he was lost, but eventually he made it back to Rhodes, and disappeared as soon as he went into the side-door of the Parlor House!😅🤷‍♀️) Who says there's 'nothing' to do in this Game!?😅

@Javier Portabella Yeah, I’m “not” telling players not to grind the game out and have fun... or that everyone should play slow like I do. I highly respect grinding players and I believe they are some of the best players, but so many grinders lose themselves in the “grind” and become literally blinded by it. Those are the ones that I usually speak of. Players enjoy your playing style (grinding or not) but just respect the game for how incredibly awesome it is. Thanks for the awesome share! 😁👍🏼

It's me again lol. I wonder if Red Dead players have discovered the scenes on rock walls and mountain sides? If you look through the binoculars you can see faces and these scenes could be the turmoil that Arthur Morgan is going through. I found these when hunting in story my second play through. Serious stuff. Most impressive videos game. RDR2 fan!

What I like about this game over GTA Online is that for the most part players leave you alone or they just do their own thing I also like that things to me in this game feel relaxing and just fun to explore I have yet to really play single player mode but I will only reason I haven't is because I am thinking about live streaming it on twitch when I feel like playing single player mode. Just one thing I feel like this game needs to add more clothing options I am at level 23 and I feel like I already unlocked all the clothes that I find cool. I also wish they had more color options but I was able to make an all white outfit for my character and it looks bad ass to me. Anyway cool videos. I really like your passion for the game I can see that you enjoy it and don't rush the game you just have fun with it. Anyway keep up the videos on this game I like them.

I think we have the same horse and saddle now, Dark Roan Shire with the McKinney saddle? (pure coincidence, only bought both last night, it looks right on the Shire, probably not on something like an Arabian). @@ceofoxtrot Yes, it freaked me out! I don't know the exact trigger situation, but I was inside the shack collecting an item at midnight, when weird stuff started happening. I don't want to say too much and spoil the surprise, but I went back a different day and it didn't happen again so I think you have to meet several criteria: 1) inside or near the shack at midnight (I arrived about 11:30 on the in-game clock) 2) a certain moon phase, or possibly weather situation (it was clear and dry for me) If you manage to trigger the even it would be great to catch it all on video, but it might take several tries. I don't know if you can access my photo on Rockstar Social Club, but if you look for Ziploc I posted a picture of part of the event.

@red devil Yeah, please “do not” let the bad energy players get you upset or let them ruin your chill out mindset. When you reach (or if you are) level 90 or above, learn all you can about carrying “explosive ammo” in all of your guns... which kills greifers with one single shot. And “only” use the explosive ammo on “griefers” because the ammo requires animal fat which you need to craft it. But it’s is how I put many griefers in their place without me even having to get upset. 😏👍🏼

@@ceofoxtrot Ever try surrendering when you get a player bounty on you? I had a player do it to me once now I do it for other players. Its fun and immersive. Pretty believable sometimes a bounty would prefer to turn themselves in willingly to pay a small fine and avoid death... plus it helps the bunty hunter out with XP. I recommend giving it a try. CEOFoxtrot , there is so much hidden in this game . If it wasn't for you , I would miss all of it most likely . Do you think the developers put a rock in the lake so someone could create an optical illusion , or is it co incidental ? At 54 years old , I only have 3 hours a day to play if I'm lucky. Plus I game at a snails pace too ! I use this game to relax after work , so I'm trying not to put pressure on myself to keep up with what everyone else is doing . I could potentially end up playing and enjoying this game for ever . Seriously , it could end up taking someone like myself years to max out all the roles . I just don't have the energy on my downtime to grind away at this game. Or get stressed over failing Bounty or Trader missions . I think it's a great game in that if you're into shooting and fighting you will be accommodated . Or relaxing and enjoying the scenery . It has something for everyone . Thanks for making cool videos of RDRO .

@Greg You bring up some GREAT questions and I could literally write a book for those answers, but let me keep it as simple as I can. I believe the game developers designed a “western themed virtual simulator” but unfortunately, players continue to treat it like just another video game. So the game developers sadly have to cater to those players to keep people playing the game. But I feel like Red Dead Online was meant to be played like this: Imagine watching the old TV show Bonanza (or just a great western movie). Well Red Dead Online allows you to “step inside” that western TV show or movie virtually and you can do what ever you want like fish, hunt, explore, bounty hunt, collect, moonshine or just wander around. So “don’t” think about leveling up all the roles because you “don’t” have to do that. Only do the things that you “love” to do in the game. I’m a level 20 trader and a level 20 collector, but I’m only a level 3 bounty hunter (because I don’t like to kill people) and I don’t own any other roles. Only do what you feel like doing when you turn the game on and ENJOY “growing slowly” with you character and your horse... and grow to what YOU want to be in “YOUR” TV show or movie. I hope this helps. 🙂👍🏼

@SunBunz It’s never too late to slow down a bit. 😉 Yes, I love cinematic mode, but try not to use it in my videos too much because it displays in “widescreen” format (with the black bands on the upper and lower screen), so it would look like I’m using “cheat cinematics” in my videos.
