One thing I everyone MUST consider, is; not everyone can do this. There are at least a half-dozen very specific skills you must have, or develop to take on a project of this magnitude. I believe the very first thing you must consider is ...know yourself and your abilities FIRST. There are hundreds of project buses online that are testament to the fact that most people are NOT capable of starting and completing something of this magnitude. Now most people can throw a futon bed , a porta potty , and some some chairs, in a gutted bus, and camp out in a bus: but to build one out like you are doing, requires considerable skill.

I just bought my bus 2 weeks ago. I bought it from a government auction that represented the school district and I picked it up directly from the school district. It only has 80,000 miles on it and the school district gave me all the maintenance records which was nice. Mine is a 5 window GMC 6.5 diesel. The insurance process was a nightmare but I found some good tips from an online forum and ended up well. I've gotten some great tips from your channel that should help me tremendously in my build.

Your right about this. I'm in the process of looking and buying a bus. I had some strokes in the past and I know I will need help. I will assist to the best of my ability. To cut down on my cost. I know nothing about contractual work. But I'm willing and ablet learn and understand. But thanks for the info Man. Hopefully I will catch on out on the road.

on Chevy Duramax engines are honestly really good reliable motors especially if you get a Duramax with Allison transmission it will be reliable for years to come.. The only thing is working on it is always a pain lol as I used to be a diesel mechanic..

Guys I need advice cause I do want to buy a bus and if anyone knows the regulations in Minnesota to own a bus. Because states are different with their regulations. I know I do need a CDL Class B and Child Endorsement for the GVWR. I want an S-Series. But I want to know if I need to remove lights and stop signs.
