As others have pointed out, the Mortal Kombat theme (a.k.a. "Techno Syndrome") was written and produced by "The Immortals" (a.k.a. Lords of Acid) for Mortal Kombat: The Album, which released about a year prior to the film. George S. Clinton scored the film, but did not do that track.

Here's another thing most people wouldn't know. Johnny Cage nut punches Goro in the movie because that's one of his signature moves. In the game the nut punch actually doesn't work on Goro. And also Sonya, for obvious reasons.

However on your 6th point about the music, I found it slightly disappointing you didn't attribute the main theme song to 'The Immortals' (Olivier Adams and Maurice Engelen). Yes, George S. Clinton is the composer for the film, but he had nothing to do with that lovely iconic piece of 90's techno gold that we still love today, as well as creating the official music album for the accompanying videogame.

2 Facts... 1... The game character Noob Sabot is Tobias Boon (Co dev) backwards.. 2.. The new "dub step" version of the tune is bad... The 90's UK was House, Dance, Trance, Techno, HipHop and so on..... The UK tried "Dub Step" in the 90's and it was classed as the lowest form of Club Music... It's not todays main.. I had a massive crush on Robin Shou who played Liu Kang. I got to talk to him, made the first fan page for him on Geocities and even was asked to briefly work on his official page til someone else took over. I got a chance to chat with him over the phone on a radio show on KTLA, from Zero to Hero. I only have one mutual friend from those days. I also used to email Darren Shalavi. He fell to the Kano curse. I hope this new guy doesn't. Well, Richard Divizio didn't.

The title, "Mortal Kombat" was an homage to one of the three English titles of the follow-up to _The Five Deadly Venoms_ called either _Revenge of the Five Deadly Venoms_ (not an actual sequel but was done by the same people), _The Crippled Avengers_ (not to be confused with _The Crippled Masters),_ or _Mortal Combat._ There are several homages to martial arts cinema in the game: Liu Kang is modeled on Bruce Lee, Johnny Cage is modeled on Van Damme, Raiden and Shang Tsung are modeled on characters from _Big Trouble in Little China,_ etc, etc, etc

Yeah, Goro was goofy and dum, but at least he was there. He was physical. Nowadays cgi is still a hit and miss thing. Rarely we can make cgi fool us... And the 2021 Goro is not excluded.
