Its not like these films will be the last time the characters *ever* appear. Actors age, as do we all.
@macree017 жыл бұрын
Its weird how aging works. Even in Days of Future Past and his brief cameo in Apocalypse, I never really questioned Hugh Jackmans age or his looks as Wolverine. In my eyes, he had looked pretty much the same since X2 and X3. He does look noticeably younger in the first Xmen movie but in my opinion, he was a little too young. I would say Wolverine and Logan from the comics always struck me as a guy in his early-mid 40s. He looks very mature, not in an old way but someone who is at the very end of their youth and pretty experienced. To me Jackman still perfectly encapsulates this look and could retain for at least another couple of years. This isn't to say I didn't love Logan or the direction they went with Wolverine. To me it did just kind of come out of nowhere though. I guess from Hugh's perspective he has played this character for almost 20 years and probably just wanted to see it off in a good way before it became stale. A noble movie in the end I think.

Logan was amazing. Jackman's acting was on point, you could feel the pain in each move he made, that he was struggling with it. The action scenes were on point, and was definitely surprised by the little girls acting. Her facial expressions really drove her character. I hope they don't touch the Wolverine character for awhile, but they will eventually remake it as Hollywood does for everything, so I wouldn't mind Tom Hardy playing him.

Hugh Jackman had his bags searched at Pearson Int. Airport when he first arrived in Toronto to start filming the original X-Men. His claws that the studio had sent him to practice with showed up on the X-Ray machine . To which the security guard exclaimed "You're going to be Wolverine!" He then got an autograph, and a picture of the then relatively unknown actor. What a way to begin a legend!

The Rookie cop That would mean no more X Men movies. Idk where Fox is going with this unless they actually reboot the entire XMen roster.
@SonOfBaldo7 жыл бұрын
Remember, X-Men has already been split into having alternate timelines so If Hugh decided to come back, they can make another Wolverine movie and just use that excuse. Same with Professor X, he's now died twice in X-Men movies. Death in a super hero movie means absolutely nothing.
@lordythegreat887 жыл бұрын
Surely a reboot, Probably sticking with Mcavoy and Fassbender as Patrick Stewart has also indicated it will be his last turn as Professor X as well. Be interesting to see who they can replace him with though, Tom Hardy would be my pick but I really hope they let the character forgotten for at least 5 years so when they bring him back there will be less bitching about the recast and more just happy he has returned
@SonOfBaldo7 жыл бұрын
Tom Hardy is already almost 40 years old. If they're going to reboot Wolverine they may as well go younger. Especially if they wait a few years. Dont need to see a 44 year old Tom Hardy trying to be Wolverine.

When someone says Logan is Hugh Jackman's last movie as Wolverine do they mean last full movie? Can he still make short cameos as Wolverine in other X-men movies? Heavy spoilers for Logan. Since he does die at the end of Logan it wouldn't make sense for him to make cameos in upcoming X-men movies but Logan takes place in 2029. I don't think the X-men movies will get to that point in time for a while so Wolverine will still be alive in the times of the movies unless they do take place after 2029. It sucks he won't be in anymore full movies unless he's not coming back to even make 1 minutes cameos like X-men First Class or X-men Apocalypse. Just seeing Wolverine on screen for a minute is enough for me.
@partydean177 жыл бұрын
Allosaurus Rex excellent point I'm curious to this as well he is getting older but you're right they aren't basing anymore movies after 2029 since they were disbanded in 2022 anyways after 7 or so died.

the main reason why Hugh wanted to quit was because of the weight lifting and diet, he's tired for the past years, and just did the hard work just for the fans, if you watch Days of future past, Hugh did not do much action, it is because i think it was planned and requested by him, it's not easy to get in shape especially when you get older.
@wasabi6227 жыл бұрын
Don't read any further, spoilers! [SPOILER] I'm so relieved that there wasn't an end credits scene of his claws popping up out of his grave and him crawling out of it slowly healing. @MrStrawberryfields47 жыл бұрын
X-24 was a stylistic purpose. It was symbolic of Wolvereine's past that any other villain just couldn't be. Having literally himself come back to haunt him is what the internal struggle of the character was. X-24 was perfect for the film. In a comic book, it can be different. For a film, this was better.
@PooMonkeyMan7 жыл бұрын
Finally someone has talked about his claws. I've been ranting tinny friends about how they're different but know one pays attention. It ages until someone actually made a point that the claws are not consistent across all the movies. dope video but there's some other things you could've included! - Sabretooth not being Wolverine's brother (Origin Series) - Wolverine can't actually die from an adamantium bullet despite how he got put down in Wolverine Origins. Adamantium can't pierce itself, so it would really just bounce off his head. Wolverine actually tries to cut adamantium in the comics and also in the 90's X-Men series (i think) and it just causes him immense pain and vibrations are sent through his bones. - Even though Hugh Jackman is taller than the original Wolverine, Ultimate Wolverine is 5'9 and since MCU is its own universe it kinda works out

Personally I don't think it is and I have read a few comic's in the past that have stated as his "true weakness" IF it was he couldn't move his neck right? Same thing w/his claws. I know when he has them extended , he can't bend his wrists. Also mention that they're suppose to be the lengthen of his arm. I think they're suppose to be a "foot long" ? I am thinking back to an old comic book too.

The Dark Claw is by far one of the best alternate versions of Wolverine ever!!!! If not THE best version. And I agree, it would be soooooo badass to see a feature length film about The Dark Claw!!! I think an animated movie would be the best way to do it tho I think.... While live action would be cool, I just don't think they'd be able to really get all the looks and features of that character and his villains down the right way, if even at all, using special effects/make-up/cgi/etc etc, but doing an animated movie/trilogy/saga(or even show series) would free up their limitations and allow them to get past all the hurdles and challenges that doing a live action version presents/drums up. I think if enough of us fans were to write in to the comic creators of The Dark Claw, and post about it all over every outlet of social media to get the hype going and our request/wants to go viral, then we could probably get them to start working on making it happen.... After all it's our response and desires that cause them to do things like that for us, based on the popularity of it and how well it's received among us fans.... The same way that it kept Wolverine around in the comics and gave us all that it has about him since he was first introduced.... The same goes for Joker! He was supposed to die off after just the one issue he was first shown in, but the editor saw potential, and then when he was supposed to be killed off a little while later, that decision was tossed out the window when they saw how well received and popular he was with fans. Even Batman had things like that happen and fans were essentially the ones who decided what happened with things in the comics/Batman family and alternate versions/movies/shows/etc etc. So The Dark Claw could definitely become a possibility and reality if we rallied together and made it known to all of the powers that be it is something we want to see come to life on screen....

Logan is fucking great. Funny enough, to me it has a Vertigo feeling to it (I know it's DC, but it's the reference I have) - dark, brutal, "realistic" graphic novel style; and that's great, the only reason I got into comic books were the Vertigo titles. The movie is touching, the action is badass, the characters are very well portrayed and it was beautiful. Bless Hugh Jackman for fighting for it to be R-rated, we finally got the perfect Wolverine.
