I'm a night owl so the dark doesn't really bother me.

Never had a problem with the long dark winters. My body though has something else to say about the subject though. As a physically challenged man who should be in the mtns, the mtns are always screaming the power of grace to me. My roots are here no matter how bad it hurts. My big problem is being able to get out in the mtns during our winters now. Need a tracked I closed or not wheelchair to get out to enjoy our winters.

Somehow, the sunlight hours in Anchorage during the winter aren't as bad as I thought they would be, from about 10 to 4. I used to live in Germany, where the winter sunlight hours were from around 8 30 to 4. I was expecting something absurd, like 12 to 2. Thanks for the video!

Have you updated the Cheechakos that the job employment outlooks for the next 3-6 years are going to be very very limited to government and possibly, if we still have one until China or Russia gets them, the Alaska fisheries. It’s very very easy to get stranded up here and ending up homeless and on the streets when you can’t find employment. As in times like what this new tyrannical dictatorship regime of old no soul has done his first day destroyed the mining and drilling industries as well as the hunting and fishing/tourism in Alaska people cannot/will not be able to afford. DON’T MOVE UNLESS YOU’RE ABSOLUTELY SURE YOU HAVE A GOOD PAYING JOB FIRST WAITING OR HAVE A WAY OUT NO MATTER WHAT, ie RETURNING TICKET OUT. Unless you are wealthy, because then savings won’t last long or something severe happens like the loss of everything but hopefully not your health.

I did a whole podcast episode about it with a state economist :)

@@alaska_realtor Did you really? Did y’all speak to the homeless and prison chaplains who are bound by our calling to do everything we can to help but still end up stranded and for the most part homeless? I have seen for the last 36 years now this cycle of extreme distress and suffering of all, including myself who came up to weld on the pipeline that was finished a few years earlier, who’s looking for work or worse swindled after came up when there was no work. I have seen the suffering of thousands hundreds of thousands over the past few years expecting prosperity but delivered the cold, famine, and despair. With the bodies of the found frozen every breakup season. With little to no answers but a lot of false speculations. Funny, I don’t remember you speaking to even myself about this yearly fraud being purposely being used against those who doesn’t know.

Hey welcome to the channel! It's cold and dark in the winter. The rent and everything has been going up at the same rate as the rest of the country.
