These are crazy good stories. I love to hear different ones like this, not just your average ghost stories or let’s-Not-meets. Especially when they’re well written and detailed - I hate having to guess at what’s happening. (Especially with the first story, for example. It was disturbing, but that’s what I came for.) And Mr. X is an incredible narrator. He sounds dark and creepy without being monotone. Perfect.

Well, it sounds like with the first one, that there is more to the story , like maybe the Mom is a crazy old lady /abusive behind closed doors . You don't just basically let someone die like that . Even, if you dislike seeing your Mom like that or you're afraid of catching something from hoarding stuff someone would've helped the old hoarder sooner . The only repeat story was the doppelganger one .

Arianne Wingard so I work with mentally ill adults and a few are hoarders. My really bad one won't let me in the house because they don't want me to see how bad it is. I understand if the mom didn't want her kids to call someone to help her because she didn't want them in her space or seeing how she lives. They could have helped dig her out though.

The last story reminds me of the story where that guy thought he met a "demon" and the "demon" said he would of drowned him on the ocean if he had went fishing that day. They had a conversation that was eerie and he also spoke in a bizarre guttural language. Peopel even did research and found the car the "demon" drove.

It's like they acknowledge there's two but they don't see it as weird because the mimic is part of the essence of the original daughter and comes around in such a way it keeps the parents under the spell.

If a beggar/pan handler says hes a vet ask if he has his DD214 (military discharge papers) or what is his MOS (military occupation skill, which is numbers followed by a letter, for example my MOS is 95b) these are 2 questions that almost most civilians do not know the answer. As a veteran and a person who likes to help the unfortunate I always ask these questions and I quickly weed out the liars, as a soldier that has been to war I absolutely cannot stand people who pretend to be a veteran.

That last story, with brown and grey, I’ve had a similar experience, except it was very late at night and I was luckily with my brother. It was a stranger driving through our street (lived in a house, so it was south of the main street). He had the blackest eyes I’ve ever seen. He was driving through the street so slowly, and from where he was up until he stopped in front of me, he was just staring at me, illuminated by the orange cast of the street lamp. And he just kept staring at me. I sensed no malicious intent to hurt me, but the only thing I can describe the sensation of being watched by this man is as if you’re staring into a void (kinda like how he mentioned it was a vacuum around him), and a dread (like staring into your incoming doom). As if though some day he would come back for me. It was just like a concept, like he could hurt me if he wanted to. It also looked like he was staring through me. Tried as I might to say something, I just couldn’t. It was a fear I have never experienced in my life, save for a nightmare I once had that I’d rather not share in public (and it involves a creature not of this world). He was pale, and looked exactly like Christopher Walken-I mentioned this because of the words the creature said at the end of the story (would’ve been funny if it wasn’t such a terrifying circumstance). Yes, you could argue it was a stalker/kidnapper, but I never saw that person again, and when my brother came back around the corner, he just calmly looked away as if though I never existed and that didn’t even happen at all, so disinterested, and drove on. I asked my brother-did you see that. Please tell me you saw his eyes. My brother looked livid. And he said that we should just get inside the house as soon as possible. We talked about the encounter and he told me never to go out late again (obvious concern of a brother). Never did. Maybe for a quick convenience store run, but never that late again.
